Perfect Relationships In Genesis Analysis

In Genesis, the author uses all of the stories to establish both perfect and damaged relationships. In the story of creation, Genesis 1, there are no damaged relationships present; however, there are many examples of perfect relationships. When God creates the world and intentionally places humans with in, it is an example of a perfect relationship between humans and God. Everything was perfect and all God’s creation were “good.” In Fact God even declared his creation to be “very good.” The Bible states, “God created mankind in his image; in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them” (Genesis 1:27-28). After this God tells the humans that he has his blessing to be fertile and to multiply. It is written that, “God also said: See, I give you every seed-bearing plant on all the earth and every tree that has seed-bearing fruit on it to be your food; and to all the wild animals, all the birds of the air, and all the living creatures that crawl on the earth, I give all the green plants for food. And so it happened” (Genesis 1:29-30). In this instance, God grants humans the gift of animals and food, to allow them to thrive and prosper. Ultimately, this creates a bond with humans and creation from God because they rely on each other to live. This perfect relationship is completely evident in the story of genesis 1 due to the bond between humans and their lifelines of creation. In Genesis 2, an example of the a perfect relationship between humans and humans is evident when Adam and Eve are living happily in God’s world. During this time it is portrayed how, “The Lord God then built the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman” (Genesis 2:22). This synthesizes how Adam and Eve directly relied on each other to live in God’s perfect
