Persephone is the queen of the Underworld, she is the daughter of Zeus (God of the Sky) and Demeter (Goddess of Corn). She was also called Kore which means “maiden”. Persephone is the goddess of spring and fertility; she is also connected to the earth. Persephone was born when Demeter was Zeus’ consort. She lives in the Underworld.
