I am currently a student in the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Due to my interest in business management and passion for food, especially desserts, I was motivated to apply for the internship advertised for your company on the University of Maryland’s career center website. Based on my resume, you can see that I have much experience with working in the food industry. Throughout my high school career, I worked as a barista at a local coffee shop, and as a waitress at my parent’s restaurant. Because of these two jobs, I honed my customer service skills. In addition to this, for the past semester I have worked as a secretary in the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Education (OMSE) on the university’s campus. This job has taught me to work in a face-paced environment, and how to work with many different people. My background in food service, developing business skills, and ability to work with people make me a good candidate for this position. I hope I will be able to meet with you in person to discuss this opportunity. I can be reached by email at jessicatrinket@gmail.com. I can also be reached by phone at (301)-332-3985. I will call your office …show more content…

For example, every morning that I woke up at a certain time, I would allow myself to have my favorite coffee drink on my way to work. This is an example of a positive reinforcement because in order to continue a desired behavior (waking up), I present myself with a desired stimulus
