Hi Yasna, It 's Samantha, the associate you interviewed Friday for sales lead. Sorry for the extremely late email, this is the first chance I 've gotten to write you. Today I went by Children 's Place at Eastridge, and spoke with Diana. You had asked me to see what I noticed that was different from Eastridge and Valley Fair, and the first thing that I noticed when I walked in was how much smaller the store is compared to Valley Fair. I also noticed how there is less traffic coming through at Eastridge then there is at Valley fair.
It was a learning experience in awareness. The lesson for me is, SLOW DOWN, TAKE A DEEP BREATH, and PAY
Another day at Hamtramck Medical Center learning more about this career each day, but today was a good day. Not a lot of people came pulse my supervisor tough me how to do the throat culture. “It’s very easy all you have to do is clean your hands, and then remove the swab from the packing. Ask the patient politely to open his/her mouth, and then turn his/her face against the light. Day two clinicals. This day went so much smoother. I had the same two patient as the day before and one got discharged and I got a new patient. I work multiple concession stands, whether it’s for basketball, softball, or baseball games and I also volunteer to work scoreboard for volleyball or basketball tournaments on the weekends. Lastly, this past Christmas all of the chorus members walked around town and went caroling to local businesses, such as the library, the fire station, and the bank. Because this was our first time caroling, I considered it a great experience and plus, it allowed the community to get free entertainment. I enjoy helping out the community
How has the clinical experience changed you as a person? I think the clinical experience has had a positive impact on my life. I feel I have slowly discovered how much I enjoy working in a hospital setting. I figured I would enjoy taking x-rays, but you never truly know until you are actually in the environment. In a way I have become more caring as a person, especially when you see newborn babies struggling and fighting for their lives.
It has taught me what it would be like if I had a kid around and it has also taught me about responsibility. I learned that if I had a kid it would drastically change my life. And I am just not ready for these kind of changes. The Real Care Baby Project has shown me that I do not want to have a baby until I am much, much
A Day at Riverwood Pet Hospital I had the opportunity to participate in a preceptorship at Riverwoods Pet Hospital. Through this job shadow, I was able to see a glimpse into the world of veterinary technicians and experience some of the day to day activities they have. The Riverwoods Pet Hospital offers the service of boarding animals, so my day started out with preparing kennels for the dogs and birds. Owners are welcome to bring in their own pet food so we filled up their bowls before we brought them back from inside.
The foster home that I lived in had other foster kids and my foster parents Kathy and Mike also had children of their own as well. My foster parents children were so mean to me. I remember one time their middle child Kristi was brushing my hair and she was hurting me so I kept pulling forward. Kristi had gotten mad that I was doing that
The Virtual Child assignment was a new world for me especially because I have never so much as changed a diaper. I learned how some situations for parents are tough like balancing work and children especially when you want save money to settle down in a home. Overall this experience gave me first hand experience in making the tough decisions and watching children develop in all aspects: language, cognitive, emotional, etc. The program was beneficial because it taught me how a little decision can affect your child’s upbringing. Lastly the program taught me firsthand how child think and act as a result of them trying to learn as much from the surrounding
When I was placed in the foster care system I had an ideology that getting to know people was the best way to avoid conflict and to help them and help myself. Unfortunately, this theory did not work in my first foster home for many reasons. However, when I was moved to South Central, I applied this theory and it worked. The first day I arrived to my new home I set to fix my broken drawer. I applied past knowledge to fix it.
A couple of weeks before the event, the officers and I planned a toy drive so all the kids at the party were able to have at least two gifts from us. Seeing the excitement and smiles on the kids face just warms my heart. Its moment like these that reassure me that this is what I want to do in the future. . After every meeting and every event, I keep a records so the next generation or
Work with children Throughout my high school and college years, I have had several experiences with children that have all played a part in shaping my love for working with children. During high school, I spent two summers nannying for two young school aged children. Working with these siblings really made me realize how much fun I have working with children and watching them grow. Once I came to college, I started another babysitting job working with two four year old twin girls.
