Goal Number One I didn’t know it yet, but the way I viewed the game of lacrosse was about to change drastically. It was a normal day for me. I was in eighth grade, and I was getting ready for school.
My five signature themes were: Achiever- As an Achiever, “No matter how much you may feel you deserve a day of rest, if the day passes without some form of achievement, no matter how small, you will feel dissatisfied.†Sometimes people call me an overachiever, but that is how I feel is my normal. Harmony- I do not like when people argue because I feel there is a better way for everyone to get along. Once everyone is in harmony, life is much smoother. Input-
My strengths as a writer are being able to come up with a lot of interesting topics and getting it on paper but I have challenges when it comes to organizing my paper and trying to tie all the topics together. Based on the feedback from my papers I would say there are many areas I need to work on for example grammar, punctuation and spelling. For me, it is many areas that I need to work on like grammar and spelling I have always had some complications when it came to those two things so I really try to make sure I continue to work on it. To improve my skills, I am going to take advantage of the Grand Canyon Universities writing center and also the tutoring center this will be beneficial to me because it will help me get stronger in my writing and to also get more feedback that will help me grow even more in the areas that I struggle in.
I am good at problem-solving, staying positive during stressful situations, leading people through difficult times, and being straightforward when I handle unfortunate problems. This reason is one of my best qualities I am open-minded. I am willing to consider new ideas and opinions without being biased. I will acknowledge all these thoughts and go through them while being unprejudiced.
My emotional strengths consist of being patient, well-balanced, easygoing, and relaxed. Being patient as a mental health therapist is important because some clients might have a hard time opening up and expressing themselves. I might have some good strengths but there are some weaknesses I have emotionally. My weaknesses include being shy, quiet, and worried. As a therapist, it's important to not be shy because if I’m shy the clients won’t get the help they need due to me not saying enough advice I need to get due to me being
My strength in writing are all over the place, I feel like I am good at choosing the right words for what I’m writing, at least the words that are in my vocabulary. I hope that I can get better at writing essays and the more serious assignments, I also want to get better at writing book style writings, like having to write like an author of a book I’m reading to write a “chapter 0”. I think I haven’t really changed my thinking of my writing, I just write to do it, I don’t analyse my writing unless it’s something I’m really interested in. Organization helps me, or it hurts me, my disorganization that is, I’m very disorganised if you couldn’t tell by now, my brain is always everywhere, and so are my possessions, and my writing. My brain is all over the place just like my work, my PAW lessons are staggered between one attempt perfection, and ten attempts with
My top five strengths include relator, adaptability, strategic, competition, and focus. When getting the results back from my Gallup strengths report I couldn’t believe how well it described me. First is relator, because of my strengths I have friends that come to me for guidance, suggestions, or recommendations and it makes me feel great to be able to help them. I feel really good about life when people give me credit for reducing difficult-to-understand ideas to more learnable forms. My second strength is adaptability.
My signature theme strengths are as follows: Context – I strive to understand the what, when, who, and where of certain events. I have always loved history, studying the past helps me make sense of the future. Futuristic – My futuristic strengths include feeling great about life, I love living day by day to the fullest. I get energized when making plans for my son’s birthday, or the upcoming year.
Many individuals find their identity of what made them who they are as a person from their culture or socialization. Although I didn 't realize it, my family set a positive foundation for developing my identity during my childhood. Despite that, there were several other factors that have immensely contributed to the characteristics I possess as an individual; and there were many aspects that could have altered my mindset, thinking, and actions. All the directions and paths I took throughout my lifetime have made me the person I am. But in contribution to that, it was influential people, mostly being my father, that made impacts on myself; in which, created my identity.
The deliberative strength comes out when planning for any situation, as you see the risk in any situation. Instead of denying risk , you pull the out one by one and take the necessary steps needed to negate their effect. The last of my top five strengths is analytical, while it is the last on the list its far from any less important, it intertwines through everything on the list. Being analytical thrives on the question of why.
After knowing what my weaknesses are, I usually try to solve them and improve my skills. For example, I’m not a highly flexible and positive person, so I seek out to individuals who are flexible and positive in their lives and ask for their advice. Another strength that I have is that I usually have a positive outlook of my improvement, because I have seen examples of those who overcome their hardships and become successful in life, so I believe that if I try hard enough, I will be able to overcome my weaknesses. I’m also confident with my listening skills and my ability to focus on others and make them feel heard. I like to start on works and projects early so that if anything comes up, I will still have time to handle it.
In the spring 2015 semester I decided to sign up for the career action certificate. When I first joined I never thought I would learn so much. I learned so much about my career and about myself. In the Who I Am?
For as long as I can remember, coding has been my background, my identity, my interest and my talent. It has been a journey that I began back in the ninth grade; a never ending affair for the world to see. The first thought I have upon waking and the last thought before my daily rest.¬ Code is the only thing in my life, that has always completed the tasks given to it, was never lazy and it never let me down. It is a very interesting story actually. It was the sixth grade, the year of my Grade Six Achievement Test, which is the national exam that determines which high school you attend based on your grades.
At this time of year, I begin to look back at my life after 12 hard years of schooling. Throughout the course of my life, there have been many ups and downs, but these up and downs is what made me who I am today. These influences have shaped my values, attitudes and beliefs towards life. There have been many important people and events that has impacted my life. One of which is family and the media.
Lastly, I am responsive, realistic, and loyal. Strengths of my personality were that I am outgoing and very social.
