In order to get everything done and turned in on the due dates, I had to manage my time and not
Procrastination, a challenge many college students endure. I have found myself delaying my assignments because I felt I had better things to do. “You shouldn’t let English assignments interfere with your religion.” (Roberts 378). I found that quote humorous because I can relate.
Most people don’t like doing homework. If you don’t have the same classes everyday you get double the amount of time finish projects, studying for a test, and of course doing homework. You could also plan something out if you had and after school activity that makes it hard to do your homework. One way is you could do your homework on the day it was given. Another way is to save all of your homework for one day and do the activity on the other.
Wayne Gretzky once said… “Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is heavy.” Many people should take advice like that to heart, but I was one of those people who regret not taking it. Intermittently my mom would knock on my door and ask, “Have you started your homework?” I would reply each time without hesitation, “Not yet
My English teacher stressed when assigning it that we plan our time wisely, so we don’t cram all the work into a week. But that’s exactly what I did. Before finally getting to work, I would tell myself in the morning, today is the day. I have to start. Come 3:30pm when school lets out, however, a school project is the last thing I wanted to spend my evening on.
By the time I was finished, it was already 10:30 p.m. and my homework wasn’t even done yet! I stayed up until midnight doing homework and I still had to wake up the next morning and do it all over again. It was a very exhausting
From the beginning, I maintained a mindset that I would put forward nothing but my utmost best in hopes to achieve the best grade possible, which I surpassed. Most (qualifier) of my assignments were done in advance with the exception of one, that I did the same day but was still turned in on time. I can confidently state that I turned in each assignment on time resulting in zero late penalties to my grade. When the opportunity arose to revise a piece of work with the possibility to receive a higher score, I took the occasion seriously and sought out other opinions to aid in the modification and explore other interpretations. (evidence/data)
My grades slowly dropped because I didn’t have time to do any schoolwork and I would miss out on lessons because I would sleep in class. I knew that I couldn’t blow off my schoolwork, so instead of staying out late I would stay in school to finish any work that I had left.
I, personally, was guilty of procrastinating which was why I received a poor grade. Procrastinating, however, was a habit that I managed
If I knew that I would be away from home all day at a marching band competition on Saturday, then I would need to schedule time during the week and Sunday to work on projects or studying for tests. I could no longer procrastinate until the last minute, or I would end up getting only one or two hours of sleep. Because of marching band, I changed my habits of procrastination and transformed into a schedule-oriented
By now it was too late to do anything that could help me or my grade, I only had two weeks of school left and one of them was completely consumed by finals. That leads us to today, I’m still trying to finish my class, even though my efforts are worthless and I have already given up any hopeful thoughts of passing. Maybe luck will come my way and ill magically pass my class. All in all I think this epiphany has taught me a valuable lesson that will stay with me for a long time. From now on ill be more careful with my procrastination and will get things done when I have the chance.
Overworked. That’s the closest word that I could use to describe this week. I feel like this journal is going to be about me just bickering, yet there is some stuff you might want to read about. First of all, I have been sleeping three hours this week because of upcoming midterms, quizzes, and assignments due. I am sleep deprived and mentally drained and as my second year in college I have never had my life drained out of my body like a passing shadow.
"My peach body butter has sprung legs again! Where did you go this time? " I say to no one in particular as I look feverishly for my absolute favorite body lotion. And suddenly: "There you are, how did you get under my bed?" Talking to myself is natural and I do it all the time both at home and in public.
Although homework can help increase understanding of new topics this kind of practice is not helping students because it can interfere with sleeping, stresses kids and teenagers out and can cause depression, and even make a kid give up on school altogether. Some people believe that homework helps reinforce the skills taught to their students that day; however, if students are getting
It was quite Monday in spring, a normal day but for me and my team it was a big day. It was the day we started training for the important race; the race decide which track team was the best in the city. My teammates are, George, Aron and Dylan. We have been working hard because we lost the championship last year it would be good for us to come out this year and win the championship.
