On one of our weekly shopping trips, my mother and I passed through the health food section in order to pick up some bread. I began to browse and noticed a sale tag hanging off the end of a shelf. The bright yellow tag with bright red numbers seemed to call out to me. It read “2/$5.00”. Upon approaching the shelf, I realized that it was everyone's favorite snack, Teddy Grahams.
”Open up register 2!” My manager always found a way to ruin my day. Winn Dixie was the first place I worked. I began working their when I was 16. I started working there on June.
“It was dusk when I got my first glimpse of it off in the distance, beyond a ridge. All I could see were the spires and blocky tops of buildings... My heart started to race, and my palms grew damp.” Walls, Jeannette. The Glass Castle: A Memoir.
I am a pioneer! My pioneer story isn’t your average Latter Day Saint pioneer story, as far as historical LDS stories go! I was raised by goodly parents, I was born and raised in Spokane Washington. I am the youngest of three children born to Jim and Shannon Newell. My brother James is the oldest and four years older than myself.
In The House On Mango Street, gender roles have a big impact on Esperanza's life. Gender roles do not only affect her life, they affect many other women and young girls in the book. This is because they abuse them and to keep ‘locked up’ because they are insecure. Sally is an example of being abused by a man. On page 92 it talks about Sally being abused by her father and her trying to cover it up.
Cotton had always been my dog. Even if we got him for my step dad, scott, he'd claimed me. We got him in 2010 on Father's day. Scott had really wanted another dog. He was eight weeks old and so small and fragile when we brought him home.
There have been numerous amounts of important events throughout American history, from settlements to famous wars, many of them are worth traveling back in time and viewing in person for. If I were given an opportunity to time travel and witness one of these events in person, I would choose to visit the origins of the new world, in Jamestown, Virginia. It began on May 14, 1607, when roughly 100 men who had left England landed on a narrow peninsula in the James River, where they would live out their lives in Jamestown. The settlement had a variety of attractions which pulls me into wanting to time travel to see it, one including watching the settlements first leader, Captain John Smith in action. Another thing that catches my attention is the way that Jamestown was built and its location.
Although there are more women practicing pharmacy than their male counterparts, pharmacy ownership is still mostly male-dominated. Owning a pharmacy is a difficult path, and only a few are brave enough to forge that path. One such woman is Dr. Jenna Clack, owner of Clack-Co Concierge Consulting. Dr. Clack started her business in Midland, TX after graduating from University of the Incarnate Word’s Feik School of Pharmacy in 2013.
I attended Specialty Court on February 22, 2016 at 1:00 PM. When I arrived to drug court, I felt awkward in terms to not knowing what was going to happen within the courtroom. Upon drug court starting it was an entirely new to me. The judge first called two clients in drug court that were not able to attend. The judge then called a client from “the box.”
This trip to the store was different. I almost got into a car accident! On top of that, I started cursing out the person that almost hit me. I was starting to feel road rage. That’s when I said to myself, “If this next store don’t have them, then you need to take yo ass home because, you’re burning all this gas and you’re about to get your truck tore, up over some damn Twinkies!”
These programs are usually offered by vocational schools or community colleges. Most programs award a certificate after 1 year or less, although some programs last longer and lead to an associate’s degree. They cover a variety of subjects, such as arithmetic used in pharmacies, recordkeeping, ways of dispensing medications, and pharmacy law and ethics. Technicians also learn the names, uses, and doses of medications. Most programs also include clinical experience opportunities, in which students gain hands-on experience in a pharmacy.
Cannon Hall 3rd Hour Don ‘Butch’ Hall I never was really close with my grandfather. I’ve pretty much lived in Utah my whole life. I was born in Richland, Washington, but I have no memories of living there because my family moved here, to Utah, when I was two. The majority of my family, from both my mother’s and my father’s side, live in the northwest.
I interviewed a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at a Rediclinic in Pennsylvania. It was a very friendly and professional environment. At the Rediclinic a medical assistance works as receptionist. NP has a private room for practice. It was packed, a guy was waiting for driver license physical examination, a young girl was waiting for a flu shot, and a lot more.
Pharmacy Intervention Cost Savings Pharmacists are valuable members of the healthcare setting and are integral members of clinical practice. Their expertise and interventions during the medication-use process help minimize the risk of adverse reactions, improve health outcomes associated with drug therapy, and significantly lower hospital costs. Adverse drug events experienced by hospital patients have been shown to increase morbidity and mortality, prolong the length of hospital stay, and increase hospital costs1. One way to track the positive impact that pharmacists have on patient care and hospital costs is by documenting pharmacist interventions. Documentation of interventions also provides rationalization for education and recommendations
