On Friday, October 16th John Etta Rasberry, my sister was driving to campus from student teaching at Pope Elementary when one of her front tires and the axles came apart, while attempting to make it to campus. At this time, I was at work. Away from my cellphone. John Etta called me several times, but I was unaware of the missed calls due to being at work. A resident’s from the community that witness the incident was kind enough to help her to get the vehicle towed from the street location, where the tire rolled off and the axle in the front of the vehicle came a loose. Unfortunately, her vehicle was not able to be repaired over the weekend, due to the parts not being readily available to fix the axle and front tire. As a result, she did not have transportation to get to and from school. On the night of Tuesday, October 20th, a picture of my vehicle with the license plate BS2W698 was taken in the Visitor’s parking area at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). I arrived on campus at 8 p.m. and parked there, because I was trying to locate my sister to pick her up and take her home. I worked from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day and went home after work to take an hour nap and accidentally over slept. John Etta was waiting for me at Young Junior High School, where she had just finished her first day of student teaching. She asked me to pick her up at 3:30 p.m. and I told her that I would. On that day after a long day at work, I went home for an hour and took a nap. I set my alarm clock to wake me up at 3 p.m. and ended up not waking up until 5 p.m. By that time, my sister had walked a mile and a half home. When she arrived she was furious, so furious that she decided to walk to UTA to complete her remaining homework assignments.
