Everyone has monsters inside of them and for me, my monster is depression. The National Institute of Mental Health describes depression as a common but serious mood disorder. Which affects the way we feel, think and handle everyday activities. When depression kicks in I become a whole new person; I'm turned into a girl who has intense mood swings. I was diagnosed with depression when I was 15 and was very sad when I found out. The reason depression is my monster is I can't control my actions and when I can control them I have a tendency to say things that are hurtful. If you were to ask someone what they think this quote means they will probably say “it means that make believe and fantasy ideas are real, like twilight”. I would then tell them that this quote really means no matter how sweet you think life is there is always a monster inside you waiting to destroy it. Monsters are real and so are ghost for me, my ghost is my inner child adult waiting to be summoned to release me from childhood and introduce me into the real world. I am now 17 and will soon be graduating from high school and starting my life as an adult. My summary of an adult is someone who has their own job, own house and pays bills. Some may not understand how I can think of such things exist, but if you they had been in the shoes of a depressed person ,they would understand how a kid could turn something so horrid into something that has meaning. Even though the word monster means something that is scary doesn't mean that it's something that could not help you. For example, when you first go to school you think your teachers are monster, then you realize they are not there to keep in a classroom for hours, they are there to teach you so you chose the right path. So when you think about the definition of monsters again you might want to change how you view them. They could easily be hidden in the
