Do you know the old cliche of the security guard that has two days till retirement? That is almost applicable to the story of my last days at my workplace, Culligan. The day started as I got up from the old broken-down couch that I use for a bed. The pale morning light gently streamed through the window as I got up to put on my clothes. I looked at the ground of my room to find a pair of jeans and an old T-shirt, and begrudgingly put them on as I tried to wake up, and then I looked for my glasses and wallet. After that I managed to get upstairs, and then I got into my car, and went off to work. As I came into the front room of Culligan I saw that the two office workers were abnormally nervous. The concrete floor that was washed daily, were as smooth as silk, and patented a hard gray that breathe no life into the room. The walls were simple as well they were made up of white plastic that was slightly brown from mud. One of them was out of place as it was made out of a newer material that the state mandated all plants to have. They planned on putting one in a year, but that stopped after the first wall in 2012.
