I breathe out as I walk onto the carpet. I get into position, wrap the ribbon around my hand, and smile. The music beeps and I begin. As I do my first toss, all I'm thinking is, catch it. I caught the stick and start my turn. The attitude turn wasn't perfect, but it was doable. During the dancing steps, I smile and make sure my ribbon is doing its spirals and snakes. The next part goes by in a blur, but as I start to do my risk, my brain goes on full alert. I try to do the perfect toss and I caught the stick. Next are the steps and I envision dancing with a person, as my coach told me to do. Me as the princess, and the guy as my prince. The steps turned out successful.
