Failure for Moorestown girls lacrosse is not an option. This powerhouse lacrosse program had a winning streak of eighty-eight consecutive games. My sophomore year the program experienced their first loss in what seemed like forever. Continuously, the timer on the scoreboard got closer to triple zeros, everyone’s hearts went into their throats anticipating the end. The opposing team was up by one and were stalling the ball.
This weekend we get to watch a Detroit Lions game! We’re driving down to the West branch to spend some time with our friends. I can’t wait it’s going to be so much fun! My family traveled down near West Branch where we stayed for the weekend with our friends, Brent, Ronda, and their son Brendan.
I asked my mother if she could give me some money to buy a ticket to the MAC Championship so I could go see Western Michigan Football play. I asked for this because I have very little money in my bank account due to student loans and the cost of college. Surprisingly the overall response was excellent she was very nice and said of course who knows if they will be back again next year. The result was I received the money to buy a
" The opposing kicker, exploded with a kick that landed in the endzone, and our kick returner run up until the thirty-seven yard line. As we headed to the field we figured out which play we were going to use. As soon as I heard the word "Hike," I ran my route, running to the left then right, the player who was covered fell forward, and the passed lobbed straight to me. I sprinted to the endzone, not aware of anyone that was near me.

LACROSSE I will inform my audience about the offense, defense, and gear needed for the sport of lacrosse. What are the different types of plays and formations when the ball is on the offensive side? Lacrosse is a sport with a complex-looking outside, but a relatively simple inside. The offense of the sport is a great example of this. According to Lax Life, a Canadian lacrosse education website, “The ‘motion offense’ is a system that relies on getting the ball low (to the ‘crease position’) and then sending a series of cutters in a particular order (timing), with the ball carrier carrying the ball high and shooting, if no options present themselves.”
However, I ignored them and pursued my own objectives. In my freshman year of high school, I was the founder of the lacrosse club at my school. Apart from having a rigorous school schedule filled with honors classes, and being involved in football and FBLA, it was my responsibility to bring the club to life. I discovered my math teacher used to play college lacrosse, and I had always been interested in lacrosse. I approached him with the idea and he encouraged it and told me if I got the players, he would help coach.

It was the middle of January, dead of winter of my eighth grade year. Coach Brooklyn Howell, the Lady Cougars basketball coach came up to me and said “come tonight, 5:30 at Byrnes Freshman Academy to try out and see if you like lacrosse.” I did not really know if I wanted to play in the cold, because I was so used to playing in a warm gym during the cold winter months. Lacrosse really did not seem like a sport that I wanted to play. But I tried it out anyway.
As you run down the field cradling the lacrosse ball in your stick, it feels like every other girl is barreling toward you at full speed. There is no better feeling, though, than to shoot the ball and watch it sail past the goalie into the net. Growing up in Baltimore, lacrosse is practically a religion. However, I never really felt any interest in lacrosse. In the Spring of my junior year, one of my friends begged me to try out for my high school’s lacrosse team.
I have been playing Ice Hockey for 12 years now, and I have loved every second of it. Well, almost every second, I’m kind of a sore loser. However, I still love the game. I love how in a game, one play can change the entire atmosphere of the game, whether its a goal that lights up the crowd, a hit that keeps the glass shaking, or a bad call by the ref that has the entire arena booing at the guy in stripes. But most of all, I love how the game has a way of comforting those who play it, like me.
During my short life, I have not had many life altering experiences; however, one thing that has changed me for the better is playing hockey. Since I started playing hockey in eighth grade it has been something I have become passionate about for various reasons. One reason is my love for the game in general, and more specifically for playing goalie, the one position that holds the balance of the scoreboard. The second reason is being a part of a team. This is important to me because it gives a strong sense of purpose to the player.

And while the classics– football, soccer and baseball– have held our citizens' investment in an iron grip, a new sport has been growing steadily behind the scenes: lacrosse.
Though there are many unique blogs that exist in the internet world, certain types of blogs remain to be the most popular for bloggers to create. Kate McCulley's blog "Adventurous Kate" (adventurouskate.com) falls into the category of travel blogs. Many travel blogs can be found online, but what makes "Adventurous Kate" popular is that McCulley is documenting her journey of what it is like to travel alone as a woman. Despite what sets McCulley's blog and others apart, all blogs tend to share similar characteristics that can be analyzed. In Michael Keren's article "Blogging and Mass Politics" (110-126) he discusses the three variables structure, style, and content that are found in nearly every type of blog.
