Trent and were blessed with so much stuff we couldn’t fit everything in one car. Mom and Ron followed us home with the rest of the baby’s things in the back of her Land Rover. When we pulled into the driveway, I walked to the mailbox and found a card in the box. There wasn’t a name or even a stamp on the outside, so I know that someone personally opened my mail box and put this envelope inside. I was torn between opening the envelope because it reminded me of the envelope I’d gotten when I was a teenager, notifying me that I should visit the health department. Without even thinking about it for another second, I tore open the envelope to find a gift card for $1500 to a baby boutique downtown. I knew that this was Mont’s doing. He’d definitely had the balls to do something like this. This was one of the sweetest things that he’d ever done. I was thankful and decided that I would call him as soon as I got a moment alone. I was left to entertain mom and Tia. All I had to do was turn the television on, and Tia was out of my hair. After Mom and I put all of the windows up in the house, we munched on the leftovers from the baby shower. I couldn’t keep the secret of the gift card so I leaned in to tell mom about it and she nearly choked on a meatball.
