The long days spent in studios and theatres perfecting things are some of the best memories. One of her true aspirations however, was found in high school when she started writing about music
CF: I decided to become an actor after stepping on stage for the first time in grade eleven. I was playing "Juliet" from Romeo and Juliet in a comedic retelling of the story. Basically,
Throughout high school I have been very involved in my choir program. Music has always inspired and intrigued me. I decided to audition for Colorado All-state choir my junior year. I had to learn a solo and practice many other aspects of being a well-rounded vocalist. When I auditioned I was very nervous but it was nothing compared to the pain I felt of not making it two months later.
Music is a very recent thing that has changed my life. I have always had an interest for music, since I was young I would dream of playing the Alto Saxophone. My dream became a reality in Sixth Grade when I was able to pick up and learn an instrument. I ended up choosing the Tenor Saxophone because of its dark full sound. I progressed very quickly taking lessons from Jill Marasa, band director at Costa Catholic Academy, later that year I bought a Flute, and Clarinet.
Ithaca’s rigorous BFA acting program promotes a strong individual actor, and works with each student to enhance their talents on a personal level. In my years of training on a community level, I discovered that I benefit intensive work which pushes me to stretch my limits. Additionally, Ithaca provides an abundance of resources regarding theaters and contacts directly involved in the industry. Since Ithaca produces a large amount of high quality productions, I intend to dive into acting and continue working diligently to improve myself. Due to its advanced level of devotion to each artist, Ithaca remains my top school.
In theatre I had found success and that success is what I put my value in, it was the thing that carried me and without it, I crashed. I thought I had lost my worth. I had spent the last 3 years of my life riding on these theatrical induced highs and living my life without them hurt, I felt that I had no purpose. I had gone from a golden child to insignificant, while the beginning of high school had destroyed that part of me, it also destroyed my usually high grades and close relationships I had with friends, feeling like I was losing everything I spiraled, desperate to find what it was that made me, me. Noticing my melancholy, and knowing my love of acting, an older friend of mine suggested technical crew.
My identity is wrapped up in my love of music because I have been surrounded by it since I was little. When I was a toddler, I would sit for long periods of time and watch videos of kids singing songs. As I grew older I participated in my church's children's choir and even held solos in my elementary school chorus. When I reached middle school I joined my school's middle school chorus in 7th grade as an alto and 8th grade as a soprano. The transition between 8th and 9th grade was important for me because I took up voice lesson in 8th grade and went to my first music camp the summer before 9th grade.
Kansas Thespian Theatre Education Essay Ever since I was a small child, my life belonged to the stage. As far as I can remember, I have been up there putting my heart and soul into my practice. My dad grew up an actor/singer, and I inherited the passion for the arts from him. I grew up in a very musically gifted house, which so far has produced four singers.
Theatre will be the beacon of hope that saves the masses from personal destruction, depredation, and dismal, because it requires everyone involved to access its power through the soul. It beckons such a strong reaction, because theatre is based on the interaction of people, and humans interact with each other in every single way possible, which makes for a communication tool beyond compare. This is the reason I have kept it in my life, because, unlike every other experience, my experience in theatre has always led to self-discovery. Every time I leave the stage I know I have touched someone in some way, whether lightly or heavily, thus expanding my emotional capacity as a person. Seeing people’s lives played out on stage makes one put his
Curtains open. Lights come up. Music starts. Six little dancers, three and four years old, dressed as bumblebees, lined up across the front of the stage. Each doing her own version of the choreography: one waves to family members in the audience, another runs offstage early, and another ignores the choreography altogether, simply enjoying her time under the glowing stage lights, I suppose.
Everyone has their own passion, mine is music. I love listening to music whenever I have a free time. I used to think that music was the right career for me to pursue, but as I grow older I realized that it was just a dream. To be successful in the music industry one must be hard-working and must practice a lot. I knew I was not that kind of a person.

I 've always been fascinated by the art of telling stories. The main reason I 'm passionate about musical theatre is that I find it to be one of the best ways to tell stories. The combination of music and acting creates for me something that no other form of art form can create. The more musicals I watch the more I find how interesting, innovative this combination can be, and the more I feel a burning need to be a part of it.
In order to reach my accomplishment, I had to follow some steps. First of all, I had to persevere and improve my music skills. For example, I started to learn playing the guitar and it was very difficult but I had to practice every single day to get better playing the guitar. Another step was to be responsible.
Throughout high school, there are many lessons you should learn along the way. One of the most important lessons to learn is leadership. Leadership not only is great for your overall character, but prepares you for any career outside of school I have worked really hard to be theater during high school.
