Senior year is winding down and three things that has been on my mind lately, one of which is UChicago. As I am artsy fartsy and I have written a crap poem to showcase my love for UChicago. Will anyone read this? Probably not, but I will share anyway and probably change some of the wording and add it to my quality blog (Grapesofcontentment.tumblr.com; high quality) University of Chicago To my dearest love, I pardon that my deep affections towards you are unrequited, And that you have many fine suitors that beseech you as well, As my love for you is immortal; an inevitable consequence of Your profoundness, your passion, your splendor, and intellect.
The main reason why I would love to attend Cal Lutheran is because of my sophomore year homeroom teacher, a Cal Lutheran alumni. During my sophomore year, I struggled in Algebra 2, and my teacher helped me by giving me additional support. She is a wonderful person, who says that part of the person she is today is because of her college years. She talked a lot about her experiences in Cal Lutheran and how it contributed to her future, and I would picture myself in Cal Lutheran doing the things she was doing. I would like to attend Cal Lutheran because I want to become a helpful and wonderful person just like my teacher.
There are multiple reasons why I chose to apply to Loyola Academy. These reasons are why I decided to test at Loyola over multiple high schools. Loyola has always been an option for me as a high school, but so were many other schools. After, much consideration I finally decided on Loyola Academy.
Mr. West, Hello. I am Rebecca Brown. I went to Sheridan Schools growing up and would like to return to teach English at the high school. Unfortunately, I have run in to a bit of a snag with financial assistance.
I have chosen to apply to Loyola University Chicago School of Law because it is a good fit for me based on complementary values and my interest in various academic programs. First, as a Jesuit university a focus on service is important. I wholeheartedly agree and serving others is a very overwhelming reason why I feel going into the legal field is the best path for me. I think a school that promotes those ideals would help me be the best version of myself and as a lawyer and I know I would be a good representative of the service aspect of the university.
So over the summer I got to visit two schools, the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins university. So when I went to the University of Maryland I felt like I liked it more than John 's Hopkins. At the University of Maryland, they have the School of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social worker law and dentistry. So I visit the school medicine and also got to see their campus and their hospital. During the tour, I also got to visit the trauma center and even went up to see their helicopter.
I graduated back in 2013 from a pretty decent school district. During high school I wasn’t an A student or a B student, I just did what I needed in order to pass. Once I got to my junior of high school I started taking things more seriously, I started making A’s and B’s. Once my senior year started the pressure was on. Everyone asking “what college are you thinking about attending?”
My body cried like a newborn babe, afraid in an unfamiliar place. Immediately, my fresh eyes were greeted by waves of black hair, friendly smiles, and the Japanese language. I had arrived in Japan. I did not know the language or the customs, but I dove right into the dark pool. I was determined not to let the unknown drown me.
As Theodore Roosevelt said, "Nothing Worth Having Was Ever Achieved Without Effort" It is true that nothing comes easy and nothing is for free. My experience at college proves the truth of this quote. My experience as a freshman at Kingsborough Community College was very challenging. In the beginning, it was hard to adapt to the college environment which I had to give up on things I enjoyed, watching movies, hanging out with friends, sleeping 12 hours per day. I said to myself that I must get good grades and reach my goals.
Rex situated himself in his leather chair, tapping his foot on the ground constantly. I can’t help it, he thought, it’s my first day on the job and I’m about to get my first case. As he was thinking about all the possibilities of what his first case would be, he was quickly disturbed by the chief of his office, John Davidson. “Rex, we got a case to offer you.
Looking back I stared at my blank paper struggling to grasp the concept of a lesson. I knew well enough I needed to speak up sooner or later in school. Once I entered a whole new school I had to change. It was an easy ride the whole way until now. Breezing through class has always been in my mindset.
For me, what I learned doesn 't necessarily come from the book or the actually content of the course, but rather from the individual exercises and writings. I 've learned more about myself than I was expecting. Granted, I have learned the content, but to me it 's more of a refresher with a few new terms and explanations, than learning a whole new subject. As I said, my biggest takeaway is what I 've learned about myself.
When I entered high school as a freshman, I had no idea what to expect. I was completely unaware of the challenges that awaited and the new ideas it would illume. As high school progressed, I was gradually exposed to this through a variety of classes and experiences. This has given me the opportunity to develop a set of skills to succeed in pursuing my hopes for the future. Early on in high school, I discovered what I wanted to do in life.
If someone were to ask me what I learned in high school, I could say a lot of things. I could talk about my Lifespan Development class and how I learned a lot about babies and prenatal care, and how much it helped me when my sister got pregnant and had questions that I always knew the answer to. I could talk about how much it helped me to learn how to multiply percentages in Algebra, because now when I go grocery shopping, I can add tax and know exactly how much money I’m spending before I even get to the register. I could even talk about how after taking a field trip with my Family Studies class, I realized that I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher. These are some of the things I learned in high school that prepared me for life or my next step in education.
It all began, my last semester as a community college student, I was very anxious to start my last classes and finally be able to graduate. I remember waking up the first day of class and feeling my emotions rush all over the place, as I began my last couple of months at Porterville Community College. being really excited to take the last classes before graduating, but like always I left the toughest subject for last. I’ve never considered myself a good writer and this class made me remember that everyday. This class was English 101A with professor Stern, he is a very tall man with a big beard, and he has the type of personality that intimidates you right away.
