Personal Narrative: My Interview With Gabriela Moreno

I choose to interview Gabriela Moreno, my 113 spanish professor. The reason I choose her as opposed to any other professor was because she seemed to be the easiest to talk too out of all the rest. She was also very cooperative to set up an appointment, so I decided to proceed to interview her. In class she is an open person to students about her personal life, so I already know a few details. I know about her is she is extremely passionate about her spanish heritage, she has this concept that young Hispanics fear to speak spanish because they were taught they spoke it incorrectly, and never given to opportunity to learn. Another detail I know is that she is about around the age of forty-years old although she never has never confirmed this. She is a vegetarian, a dog lover, and enjoys meditating. …show more content…

As for my professor, I have already described her as outgoing so she fits the profile perfectly. My professor noted that role models helped inspire her to do more with her life, specifically her own professors as a college student. One facts about her personal life was when she was younger she was an activist that fought for immigrant laws to be changed in the US, which shows the kind of person she was/is today.
The requirement for becoming a college professor is at least a doctoral, possibility other requirements required by the University. Ms. Moreno has a bachelor's degree in Journalism and mass communications, a masters in spanish, as well as a PH.D in Hispanic literature. She choose to be a professor later in life, as you can tell from her numerous degrees. During the interview, when I asked her how did you know this was the correct profession for you?
