I have been doing some thinking about our conversation a few days ago and have concluded that I will take you up on the offer! I just sold my old bike and now have some money left over that I can use to pay for those seminars. I am going to see how soon I can get this done, I am going to look at the dates and send my form in. I will keep you posted on the status of things as they get processed.
With confidence, I am writing to express my strong interest in Southern Culture Foods Inc. I believe my experience to be an ideal fit with your company. With over 10 years of professional Broker, Consumer Products Goods, Retail, Foodservice Sales experience. My experience includes sales of Heinz foods such as frozen soups, ketchup, condiments and sauces to restaurants, school, and other food service organizations. In addition, my responsibilities include trade show experience and managing multimillion dollar accounts.
My parents always said I had to get good grades or I was not allowed to play hockey. According to Lawrence Kohlberg's theory, I think this experience might have contributed to my moral development by developing responsibility in meeting responsibilities that are put on me. Winning the Silver Stick tournament with My Team. Sharing success with teammates built a special bond and reinforced the value of teamwork. It fueled my competitive drive and ambition to pursue hockey at higher levels.
As long as I can remember I've been playing hockey. It all started when I was just a little girl I literally tried about every there is but, hockey was my one passion. Also, Hockey is a great way to stay active. I practice three days a week for an hour each practice. In addition, each weekend I have anywhere from one to five games.
During my short life, I have not had many life altering experiences; however, one thing that has changed me for the better is playing hockey. Since I started playing hockey in eighth grade it has been something I have become passionate about for various reasons. One reason is my love for the game in general, and more specifically for playing goalie, the one position that holds the balance of the scoreboard. The second reason is being a part of a team. This is important to me because it gives a strong sense of purpose to the player.
Being on a team is a special thing. It’s just like being a part of a family. I have been a member of the girl's varsity lacrosse team for four years. Many lessons have been learned from the wins, the loses, and the successes that our team has had in the past years.
Ever since I was a child, my parents have kept me involved in sports. Growing up I played many sports, but the one sport that stuck out to me was hockey. I have been playing hockey at a competitive level for the past 11 years and while playing hockey has given me the experience of being in a team environment, it has also taught me to work towards a common goal. Through the past 11 year of playing competitive hockey, I have had some incredible experiences that have morphed me into a more well rounded individual. Playing hockey at such a competitive level has granted me many opportunities that many other people my age haven't had the chance to do.
My strengths as a writer are being able to come up with a lot of interesting topics and getting it on paper but I have challenges when it comes to organizing my paper and trying to tie all the topics together. Based on the feedback from my papers I would say there are many areas I need to work on for example grammar, punctuation and spelling. For me, it is many areas that I need to work on like grammar and spelling I have always had some complications when it came to those two things so I really try to make sure I continue to work on it. To improve my skills, I am going to take advantage of the Grand Canyon Universities writing center and also the tutoring center this will be beneficial to me because it will help me get stronger in my writing and to also get more feedback that will help me grow even more in the areas that I struggle in.
Lastly, I learned how to handle adversity. During my varsity seasons, our football team did not have a very high success rate. We struggled frequently to score the ball and create big stops during the game. Because of this, our team experienced a lot of hardships and adversity. Coach Luze always preached we need to handle adversity in the best way and we need to bounce back.
“Set,” Bang! The gun goes off and I quickly shoot ahead of the rest of the field. My strides long and quick as I sprint for the track. I can’t hear anyone behind me, I must be a good 10 meters in front of everyone else. I run around the track and continue to sprint across the field back to the crowd of parents, friends, and girls soccer players who were forced to attend this last cross country meet of the season.
With this being a team sport, everyone has to work together and play their role to succeed. Having to share the field with nine or more people has taught me to communicate effectively, to support each other both on and off the field, and to celebrate each other's successes. My teammates have become my family. Sometimes, I’m around my teammates more than I am around my own family. Growing such a beautiful bond with my teammates from the young age of three.
To conclude, my many years of hockey have changed me in ways that no other activity or sport could’ve, while teaching me teamwork and making me develop a thicker skin that I definitely would not have yet without it, and it has made me a stronger and more independent
With being at that academy and around that competitive nature I learnt perseverance, sportsmanship, as well as how to stay humble. Samuel Johnson once said “Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance”. With being the youngest on the team, I was passed over multiple times for ice time, sitting out of important games due to the fact that I was the youngest and the newest member to the team. When you get constantly looked over time after time, it takes a toll on
Dedication is the secret to success for many athletes. I started playing mini-mite travel hockey when I was five years old. At that level they focused on teaching us basics of skating and hockey skills. After playing travel hockey for a couple years, I quit hockey all together for coaching difficulties.
At the beginning of my sophomore year, August 2015, I fractured my left ankle. My second season of cross country had just begun. The whole team had a Saturday practice at Atlanta Memorial Park. We came to this park for a time trial. Not being able to run was going to be a challenge for me.
