My philosophy in caring for infants and toddlers is simple. It consist of love and lots of emotional, physical and cognitive stimulation. The first three years of life are crucial, as children have physical, and cognitive millstones that they have to complete. During these developmental stages, infants and toddlers develop at a much faster rate in comparison to other stages of life. The time is optimal for brain and physical development. Absence of love, physical, and cognitive stimulation, could result in children’s delays and unhealthy attachments. As caregivers, it is important to demonstrate high levels of physical contact (love) and stimulation of all senses to promote healthy development. The care and supervision of infants differ
