Changes I have grown academically because I have learned how write essays better. When Ms.DeVries was here she helped me a lot with my writing and gave me a strategy to catch my mistakes quicker. No Red Ink has helped quite a bit. I have been reminded of a lot of grammar rules thanks to No Red Ink and I have found out how to use punctuation properly. I have also gotten better at problem-solving in Algebra 1.
For generations, the American public has been subject to the general news media. This subjectivity leaves audiences in thrall, in confusion, in humor, and, often, in anger. News outlets of all forms have a major influence on the general American populace. Daily news broadcasts help the public to stay in the know about major issues-both domestic and foreign. If someone wants to know the goings on in the Italian wine industry, or the German film industry, they might check the internet, but would never look for information in their hometown newspaper.
When I was in 7th grade, I had played football for the school. One day during summer camp, we were going over plays and positions and one play someone had said something to me. During the next play I was angry at the kid so I went directly for him. I dropped my shoulder and hit him hard and he laid flat like a pancake on the turf.
My personal Artifact is a baseball my son and I caught at the Giants game. It is white, round, has red stitches, and is smooth when new, but when we caught it it was beat up and the blue writing on it was smeared. A baseball is small and light in size. It can be thrown at speeds up to 100 MPH, or hit at at speeds higher than 100MPH, so when playing the game or watching you should be paying attention at all times. A baseball is made of a rubber or cork center, wrapped in yarn very tight, covered by white leather with red stitching around the out side, making it a very hard ball.
A Ghostly Spark Introduction (reveal): Native American culture has always been an interest of mine. Since my beginning with the Boy Scouts of America on my path to Eagle Scout, I have come closer to the dense but often forgotten history of the First Nation people of America. Upon joining the Order of the Arrow, the BSA’s honor society centered around Native American virtues and beliefs, I have continued to take it upon myself to learn more about the long forgotten Native history. While I knew about the general struggles the Native Americans faced as “white man” invaded the unharnessed Western frontier, I had not learned about the specific catalyzing incidents that caused such conflict and suffered between these two cultures. While searching through topics like native music and combat, I knew I needed an event that sparked the rift between these two types of people, growing U.S. government and early
Since I was so bored anything would appease me. I came upon my sister who was rummaging around under the covers. I, of course, did not think twice, and impulsively jumped right in. After a minute she jumped off, and I didn't realize. While under the covers I dropped off the bed not knowing, and landed right on my left arm, breaking it.

Early in my life, I used books as an escape from the harsh reality in front of me. When I was around five years old, I was trapped in an abusive and sheltered household. When the yelling started, I used to hide under my bed and stay very quiet. I would read any book that I could find to keep my mind off what was happening around me. I made myself a safe space under my bed with a light and pillows.

My history as a writer has been a bit of a struggle of slow development. From a young age I had a hard time with spelling and this is still a trouble area for me, even with the help of autocorrect. As I grew in age and as a writer my problematic area became not including enough nitty gritty details. My bad experiences that I recall would always involve the start of writing because I struggle with beginning paragraphs. Also, I tend to use the ending paragraph to just repeat myself, so overall my first and last paragraphs are usually shit.
