In summary, on 09/21/15 at 0418 hours I was patrolling the area of 1600 S. Laramie Ave., at which time I observed a male subject with a youthful appearance walking northbound 16th Street. I made contact with the subject, at which time he identified himself as (Rosas, Alexis DOB 04/21/97). While speaking with Rosas, I detected a strong odor of fresh cannabis emanating from his person. Rosas related he had some cannabis in his sweater pocket. I recovered a silver box containing a green leafy substance from Rosas ' right sweater pocket.

I was never interested in tractors until I went to Louisiana last summer. Going to Louisiana was one of the best things that has ever happened to me during my life. Going to Louisiana was so awesome being able to watch and drive enormous diesel tractors and watch my uncle cut rice with a combine(which is a machine that is used to cut rice on a farm. It helped me learn about rice and the machines that farmers use to cut rice. I got to see where the rice is stored after it is cut, my uncle dries out the rice to get all the moisture out before they sell it and take the rice out of the rice bins.
Over the summer I traveled to Tennessee to see my cousins. The day we arrived, we visited Lake Winnie, an amusement park with tons of rides with a water park. It was a joyful day. That day I went on the first roller coaster I 've ever been on. While walking nervously up the steps to get into line with my cousin, I felt the adrenaline rushing through my body, and I felt very anxious.
O-Oklahoma Oklahoma is the place I was born yet the only time I was ever there was maybe the first two to three months of my life I don’t remember obviously. I’ve always wondered what it’s like there. One day I hope to go there because I fell in love with a lot of their sports teams and I want to meet my biological brother. My favorite sports teams in Oklahoma are the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA, and the colleges of Oklahoma State (The Cowboys), Oklahoma (The Sooners), and Tulsa (The Golden Hurricanes). I started paying attention to the NBA when my brother Scott bought NBA 2k11 I played with every team and found myself playing with the Thunder the most, because I loved playing with Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook.
Several individuals from different ethnicities, races, and citizenships, compose a society. The United Sates allow us to have a close interaction with numerous individuals from diverse backgrounds. In my own case I have been able to interact with many incredible individuals from all over the world who come from extremely different backgrounds. I am a proud Mexican who cherishes respect towards diversity. Coming from a very suffered country I am able to understand not only what does it means to feel proud to be a Latino, but also I can feel acquainted with the pain and struggle that our community has to face every day.
This summer I had so much fun doing outdoor activities. On a birthday trip to Pigeon Forge, TN, with my family, we did a ropes course, went zip lining, and went rafting. Doing all those activities in one day filled me with excitement and fear at the same time. At the end of the day, I was tired but happy!
Getting down to Nebraska was harsh and the trail was dusty. The children like me had to take care of the animals. Jim, Antonia and myself became really good friends after living next door to each other for a while and we do everything together. When I work, I help my dad to plant and harvest crops and hunt for food. We planted and harvested corn, potatoes, pumpkin, wheat, peas, carrots and tomatoes.
Last weekend I had to drive to savanna Illinois to a tiny city named Hanover. Me and my grandpa were driving there to pick up family to come over and spend time with us. It is a hour drive. The drive was not that bad, except for the drive back because the kids in the back were being really annoying, but they were really exited because they don’t get away from home much. On the way there we picked up donuts which were very delightful.
It’s about six hours since you left for Arizona . The way things have been, I know you wouldn’t have expected me to come to see you off. I was so focused on getting by on my own in the city, I didn’t realize how much I missed being with friends. And it was only today I realized how much I’ve missed you. You were my best friend for as long as I can remember, and it’s been almost two weeks since I last talked to you.
My home state is Texas, and a problem Texas faces is an overall mindset of systemic racism, sexism, and xenophobia. Texas is a very conservative state, thus many of the policies passed by our legislation are written at the expense of women and minorities. Although I might sound highly critical of our state government, I do not believe that these negative mindsets are deliberate attempts to put others down, I feel that it is simply an ignorance to the issues women and minorities face, and a lack of empathy. Ignorance is easily countered by thorough education. The easiest way to solve this is for us constituents of these politicians, to bring the issues that affect us to the forefront.
While riding home one day after mom and dad picked my brother and me up from school, we were reading the signs on the side of the road. The ones that people stick in the ground on the side of the road or in someone's front yard to support a political view or for yard sales. So, while reading these signs my brother, whom is older than me and in high school, reads a sign out loud. Kansas jobs?
Can you guess where my first trip was to? In May 13, 2003, I had my first trip to El Paso Texas. I woke up at 8am I was super excited and nervous at the same time, because I knew this trip would be a great experience for me. I was going to take a plane for the first time.
Alabama Trip My mom and and dad told me in December that we were going to Gulf Shores, Alabama to visit my grandparents. Gulf Shores is the southernmost town in Alabama, located on the north coast of the Gulf of Mexico. I have been there twice when I was little. I remember that I collected seashells and went swimming with Boppa in the pool.
Stefan Zweig’s Castellio against Calvin (1936) narrates the story of how John Calvin takes over Geneva not only by imposing his tyrant and fanatic religious beliefs but also by proclaiming himself as highest figure of the city. Consequently, Calvin closed the previous Protestant period established by Martin Luther. Zweig is believed to have written this book as a parallelism of Hitler’s dictatorship in Germany (without any explicit word on Adolf Hitler) so that he could tell his contemporaries how an autocrat gets to the most absolute power over a territory. Therefore, Castellio against Calvin is provided with different steps that lead to a totalitarian way of ruling Geneva, also known as dictatorship. This essay is focused on explaining every single move made by Calvin to get to the power.
