Now that I have been in The Fellowship Initiative for over a year, an extracurricular activity sponsored by JPMorgan Chase. I definitely see myself growing as a person. From advancing skills to building personal relationships with other people , I am glad that everything is falling into place in my life on a professional spectrum. In TFI we went on a trip this past summer to upstate New York for a camping trip called Outward Bound. For Outward Bound , we went away upstate for 10 days in the Catskill Mountains. As this trip is unforgettable , I am happy to say I found my inner self over the course of time. This experience was essential which would make me a great candidate for The National Honors Society.

When it was time for me to begin taking on the role , I started off very unsure and low confident...However , the group respected the orders I gave and understood the power I had at that moment of time and did what I asked of them to do. As time went on , I developed this wave of power , the kind of power you develop when you achieve a goal. As the group listened and everything went smoothly , the nervosity soon lifted off my shoulders and that ridiculous fear of leadership soon melted away.
Approximately four weeks after Outward Bound , TFI’s new year session began. The program manager announced a new implementation in TFI called squads. These squads were based off of the groups we were in during Outward Bound. Further into session , the program manager pulled me aside and told me I was nominated as a squad leader since I was voted favorite leader through the whole trip. The excitement and thrill of that was enough to make my whole day as I realized I didn’t fail as a leader.
Passion , Ambition , Conscientious , Leadership ... I soon became all of that in one. Of course these skills aren't fully developed overnight , they all take time to build upon. Acceptance into this program will be a platform for me to showcase the skills that I now possess as well as enhance them. Which is why I strongly believe that I should be accepted into McKee High School's National Honors
