Personal Narrative: The Road To Character

Everyone has a moral compass. What things guide or inspire you? Reading inspires me a lot, I recently read a book called The Road to Character by David Brooks. This book was very inspirational in a way that made me want to become a better person. It made me realize what it is to have good character and to be a genuinely nice person. Many of us think we have good morals, but when someone else is telling you what having good morals is like you rethink what you think is right. Another thing that guides me is my family, I think family is one of the most important things you can have in life and I’m lucky enough to have a very supportive one. Having a family that truly cares about me and wants the best for me, makes me work harder and have the want to be successful next year. Family is the most important thing to me, and having them to help me out whenever I need and having the faith in me, in whatever I do guides me everyday. One last thing that guides me is my faith, growing up going to church and learning everyday what it means to follow your faith it has taught me to except everyone for who they are and to not judge. …show more content…

Bullying has been a huge problem throughout schools and it is something that can end a persons life. Nobody should ever feel like that aren't worthy of something or be belittled because they are different. Everyone is equal and different in there own way and if I saw someone being made fun of for something they did, how they look or what they believe in I would take a stand for them. Bullying is something that should never be tolerated, and any person who witnesses it should report or make sure the person knows that it is not okay. I hope that this is something I never have to do or witness but I know if I do, I will not keep quiet. I don't believe anyone should ever be bullied, and that everyone should be treated the way they want to be
