In 2011, during my seventh-grade year, I eagerly walked toward the biology laboratory, filled with excitement and anticipation because we were about to embark on the captivating task of dissecting a fetal pig. At that moment, my unwavering desire to pursue medicine as a lifelong career began. When college was just a year away and the importance of determining my career path was looming over me, I began researching, which led me to discover the field of forensic science-a field that allowed me to combine my interest in examination and biology. Therefore, when the opportunity for me to become the president of a student organization arose, I was filled with fear and doubt. The thought terrified me, and I began overthinking the situation and being overly critical of myself. I remember my first official meeting as president, with everyone eagerly waiting to hear the activities I had planned for the school year. Despite my initial nervousness and my apprehension during subsequent organization meetings, I gradually overcame those fears, embraced my role as a leader, and strived to be the best I could be. As an introvert with constant social anxieties, I realized that being a good leader was not contingent upon being outspoken or extroverted. Instead, I discovered that my actions and dedication could speak volumes without the need for exaggerated displays. This experience taught me a valuable lesson about leadership, self-perception, and the power of action. It reinforced the idea that leadership comes in various forms and is not confined to a specific personality type. Through perseverance, I discovered my unique leadership style and realized that embracing my introverted nature did not hinder me from making an impact.
