The transition from middle school to high school is what shaped me the most and this adjustment has changed me in both good and bad ways. As a freshman, I enrolled in a private school, called Bridgemont High School. It was a very small school and did not have the same help as the public schools offered. I didn 't have an ELD class and classes providing extra help were limited. Eld means einglish language development, these classes are classes to help develop your english speaking skills even though i can speak english i had poor grammar.
Threw out my high school career, I have been at Camelback High School within the Montessori program that is relatively new to the school. I wake up early (around 5am) and take the bus everyday to school because I choose not to drive. I have thought about quitting more than once, but decided to stay because I strive for completion. I also pride myself on my honesty. The truth is I always do the bare minimum but I also attempt the extra mile whenever
Coming back from summer vacation is difficult, but coming back and having to start in a totally new environment makes it even harder. I remember coming back and being confuzed. Not just academically, but also socially. I would wonder how I would fit in with my new peers, and if I would start falling behind in my classes. Lucky for you, I have some advice for you, so you can do your absolute best in Jr. High, whether it’s academically, socially, or anything about personal responsibility, I’ve got you covered.
I was sitting in the Doctor Who covered room, looking at the confusing, empty schedule, I had 30 minutes to fill in my life for the next year. Junior High. I am going into seventh grade. I thought of a younger me, walking through the halls of Webster, thinking, "I 'm a second grader now". But, she has a long way to go.
Newton was a town just east of the coast Ceils. The people were nice and friendly, it being a small town everybody knew each other. Maddie, Zach, Cody and Karen are all good friends. But ever since last year Maddie, Zach, Cody, and Karen noticed that the town has been becoming strange. The people were acting weird and bad things kept on happening.
Entering high school my freshman year, many things were new to me, and I wasn’t sure what I was going to get involved in as a student. The only thing I was sure of was that I was going to play high school soccer. I’d been playing soccer since I was about 8 years old, and finally having the ability to play for the high school I grew up watching was exhilarating. My main goal going into the soccer program was that I wanted to make the varsity soccer team by my senior year in high school- my brother had been a former varsity player, and I greatly wanted to fill his shoes and leave my mark at the school. Throughout my four years in the program, that was my main focus, but I was happy to discover that I was also making friends along the way.
I felt sick. My breath was coming in short, uneven puffs and my stomach felt like it was being twisted and squeezed and shoved into my lungs. I could feel the butterflies bumping into one another and then crash landing against the edges of my belly. My hands were shaking harder than they were this morning and I could not find my voice. I wanted to fall into some kind of pit where I could go home and eat ice cream and pretend that I did not exist.
There was no warning, no dramatic police report, nothing that resembled the movies I watched growing up. I shouldn 't have been surprised, seeing how Yuba City was so insignificant to the rest of the world, but I suppose deep in my heart I was disappointed. I remember walking through the halls, not running, as if the hall monitor was still watching. He was dead.
I am Jessica and it is nice to meet you. It sounds like you are very busy. I am also a paraprofessional (physical education). What area(s) are you a para for? Did you participate in track in high school?
After I got my stuff there we had to go down to rehearsal in the Neumann Auditorium, this took about an hour and a half. The cool thing is that after that rehearsal everybody came and then we got to record all of our songs! We would sing them until they were as close to perfect as we could get! Sometimes we did a song once, sometimes we did it three times. Almost 2 hours later we were finally done recording and camp was over.
I was really excited to start my second year of high school. I thought it couldn 't get any better! I had all my friends in the same school and most of my classes. Since I wouldn 't be on the bottom as a freshman it was way more exciting to become a sophomore! I had great classes and the teachers were good.
The alarm clock is one of the most feared household objects. Waking up in the morning has always been a struggle for me and it is likely because I was up the prior night doing homework or catching up on social media. Other nights may include hanging out with friends, joking around even though we ought to be sleeping. In sixth grade, however, I hated my alarm because it reminded me of the upcoming day.
When my mind goes back to the day I walked across that stage for graduation. I can still remember how nervous I was, and not to mention I was eight months pregnant. I sat there thinking, I would never be able to get my life back on track. Honestly, I can say these past two years of my life have been a learning experience. After two years of sitting, I finally decided I was ready to go back to school.
All i wanted was to throw my alarm clock across the room and sleep for the rest of the day. I could smell my mom making breakfast, it was pancakes my favorite. I finally got up after smelling that. While I was getting ready, was kinda excited to be in the sixth grade. I was finally in middle school.
She sat still on the literal edge of her chair, barely breathing as Dan shuffled his papers and readied himself. She wondered for a moment if he would speak at all; the seconds dragged out like hours and she felt her heartbeat quicken. But then he caught her eye - both of them wide-eyed as does in headlights - and she felt a certain warmth overcome her. I 'm right here she tried to communicate to him, and he finally began to speak. She finally took a good breath; the first one in the last few days.
