I expect it to be really challenging and hard. From what I have heard you get a lot of homework and essays. Since my teachers in middle school are really good I don’t think I will have a problem in high school. I also expect high school to be a lot of fun.
I was in a chess tournament about two years ago against many people in my school because I joined a chess club. Unfortunately, I didn 't get far in my last one and was hoping to be better this time. I was doing well until I saw a seventh grader paired with me in the semifinals. I was very nervous because last time I went against a seventh grader I lost and was knocked out from the tournament. But this time I was a lot better at chess than before so I had not a lot of doubts even though a lot of people thought that the grade seven was going to win.
Lots of people say that middle school is hard, has lots of responsibilities and you have to be on time for everything. Then I thought there weren 't serious till I actually went to middle school myself. Soon after elementary I went to a middle school that I went to was called Lincoln middle school, it wasn’t a big school, but it was a decent school. When I first went into that building I was excited to make new friends and meet my teacher, but then this lady that was the 6th grade dean(consular) gave me this piece of paper that had many classes on it and I ask her “why there are so many classes?”
As a young aspiring musician in middle school, I wanted to start a band desperately. Instead, I was known as Emerson Middle School 's’ music freak. I posted flyers in businesses around my hometown and online ads. I wanted to be like Amy Lee from Evanescence terribly, but my taste in music was different than most people. When my fellow classmates heard about my compositions and ideas, they thought it was a joke.
This 8th grade year and my entire middle school experience was a fun time and a blast. I hope I get to experience In high school. The one question for high school is will it be a drastic change. In this bit of writing from my humanities I asked a big question.
Warren awoke to the buzzing sound of his alarm--6:30 in the morning. He threw his tan comforter blanket to the wall and slid out of bed. He walked heavier than an elephant across his wooden floor to the kitchen. His mother was making his everyday breakfast--two buttermilk waffles and a small glass of milk. He ravaged it to the last crumb.
Third Grade It was a cool and very cold morning at my school. It was around 10 a.m and we went outside to have Recess. We were playing two hand touch football.
Seventh grade was fantastic, but I would like to change a few things for next year. Next year in eighth grade, I need to increase my vocabulary, participate more in class, and stop procrastinating. I need to increase my vocabulary. I can read more books to learn new words. Whenever I don’t know a word, I can ask others for the definition or look in a dictionary and remember the definition for the next time I encounter the word.
Well I started Pre-K then I moved to Elmore city. Soon I was enrolled in school here my teacher was Mrs. Smit. Soon I made a friend, Brittany Holt. She became my best friend. I remember when our class took a trip to the train station I sat with he and her older sister.
Six grade sucked! I just lost my grandma week prior and I wasn't in the mood for anything that I used to enjoy. I didn't want to think about school, I didn't want to hang out with my same friends, and I didn't want to be a goody goody for the rest of my life. All I wanted was to have a date for the holiday dance and hopefully a boyfriend soon after.
Since the 8th grade I have been in a mathematics class every year. I have taken every algebra class that my school offers along with class such as geometry and high school precalculus. Last semester I took college algebra online at ACC. Most of the classes (including the high-school “precalculus”) have been either algebra or recapping what I should have already known from previous years. The college algebra at ACC I took last semester introduced me to many new ways of solving problems that I was previously not introduced too along with going more in depth into sections that my high-school classes simply brushed over.
The first day of middle school for me was both terrifying and exciting. I made a lot of new friends within the year. I remember the first day very well. I had woke up at 5;30 a.m. I was extremely tired.
In the duration of my middle school years, I maintained excellent grades, except I had just one issue that held me back from a satisfying life. That issue was the fact that friends came very hard to me in my middle school years. Before my struggles at my middle school, Trafton, I had a very productive social life in the Elementary school I attended, Roberts Elementary. Here, it was very easy to make friends and have a great social life, since no hard work was required as a kid. Middle school, however, was a great challenge for me.
Sixth grade was just a lesson year for me as well as a great learning experience about how anything in life isn’t handed to you, and that you have to work for everything that you get. It was a really good year and I was proud of myself for what I had accomplished.
I had many fun experiences in 8th grade. Although I am very excited to move on to highschool, I will miss 8th grade as well. I learned many things in 8th grade. I learned a lot about U.S. history and I found physics very interesting. Algebra and Spanish, the two high school classes that I took this year were quite challenging but very rewarding.
