It was September 27, 1849 I was saying goodbye to my fiance Elmira Shelton. On my way out to catch my train I bent to pet my cat Scoop and he bit the tip of my finger and broke the skin. I was bleeding a little, but didn't think about . When it stopped you could barely even see it. Then I said bye to Elmira and headed towards the train station. While I was on the train, my head had started to hurt and it felt really warm. We were about halfway to Philadelphia and we made a scheduled stop in Baltimore to take people from Baltimore to Philadelphia. After we stopped and loaded all the people ,the conductor came to our car and said “We have to stay in Baltimore for a couple of days because one of the drive axles on the train has broken.” I got …show more content…

I had a cow that was staring at me in the train car, but when I turned around again the cow and the hay were gone. I thought I was going crazy. But, I got over it and went into town. when I got into town I went to the grocery store to get some food. But, I realized that I left my wallet at home in Richmond Virginia. I figured someone had stole it while I was sleeping. I had to find some new clothes. I remembered I still had a dollar left from when my friend lent me some money to get some food. I had went to this old used clothes shop and found an old suit for fifty cents. The little old lady said “ it’s a little small but it’s good for the money.” I went to a bar to get something to drink. I hadn’t drank alcohol in a couple years so what I ordered was a little strong. I couldn’t walk and my speech was slurred so I decided to sleep in the back ally since it was nice outside but on my way back there I passed out and soiled
