There she stood so long ago, on that pedestal made of stone. A Statue, but yet a statue that represented much more than a figure. She introduced hope to our wonderful country, and to all who entered. She was the symbol of hope for our future to come. Today, she still stands there as a reminder of the freedom that we possess when we see her. There she stands through the howling winds, and roaring skies. She has never fallen, she holds us up. We can have hope because we know we have freedom, liberty, and justice for all. This is how I see America. A country that can stand tall when we go through tribulation. A country that accepts, loves, hopes and appreciates. A country that can really be home of the brave, and be sturdy like a Statue. Before airplanes, people traveled across the sea by ships. Immigrants knew the moment they saw the giant green statue, living in the New York Harbor, that their life was about to change forever. A country who is full of hope to overcome while carrying heavy burdens. A country who is still proud to hold up their American Flag. A country who salutes their mighty soldiers and is patriotic for now and for years to come. Where we build up our young to be appreciative and respectful to veterans. A country who is strong like a statue and can stand through heavy winds and devastating storms. Where our country not only gives a home to the Statue of Liberty but can be much like her. Strong willed, patriotic, and leaves a trace of hope when the community sees her. A country who can be led by God and to enlighten this beautiful, free nation. I love the freedom and liberty we hold here. I love that our country has been a country known for the strongest military.
