Personal Narrative: The Trumpet

As the musical notes flowed into my ears, my brain was replenished with great prestige. ***** Albert Einstein once said, “Only those who attempt the absurd can achieve the impossible.” This particular quote of Albert Einstein’s career is mightily important to numerous people. I made this my one life ambition, to achieve the unfeasible. There is no impossible, there is only a new beginning. In the genesis of the school year in 2013, I determined that I was choosing to learn a new instrument. The instrument of my choosing was the trumpet, the mightiest and first of them all. My band teacher, Mrs. Clark, was desperate for me to play the trumpet. My settlement was set with her opinion on my skill set. This is only the start of my journey to effectuate the improbable. The trumpet is a distinctive instrument because it has only three valves and two slides. The valves’ are labeled as one, two, and three. There is one slide called the tuning slide. The trumpet has an incredibly high-pitched tone because of the structure and size of it. As I was starting this peculiar instrument, I had a difficult time trying to adjust to the mouthpiece. They play all of the high pitched notes and stand out the most in songs. It is required of me to do my best while also keeping an above average grade. In our band, there are brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. The trumpet would be considered a brass instrument. Brass can be high or low-pitched. I play a high-pitched instrument, while the trombones would be categorized as a low-pitched one. An alto saxophone, for example, would be in the woodwind group.
