The National Baltimore Aquarium is one of the largest non profit aquarium in the United States. The aquarium strives to help inspire people on how important it is to preserve the beauty of the ocean and also why some species are becoming endangered. The aquarium is an iconic landmark offering marine-life exhibits, a dolphin show, shark tank and walk-through rain forest. Every year the aquarium has a new exhibits and shows for the public. This aquarium is one of my favorite vacation spot because I really like how the aquarium is constructed and It's a family friendly, interactive educational experience.
Have you ever feared of doing something new? I knew for sure that I did, from my sixth birthday forward I am willing to overcome any obstacles that may stand in my way. I was six years old and in the 1st grade on vacation in Tampa, Florida. We were on our way to the humongous theme park known as Busch Gardens. When we had walked in, immediately anxiety had poured into my stomach and I started to feel slightly dizzy.
June 6, 1944, Juno Beach, Normally Someone threw up, it was the same soldier who threw up 30 seconds ago, but none of us said anything because we felt like throwing up too. I was on a landing boat to Juno Beach, I could hear other soldiers shouting and firing guns. When the door opened, instead of seeing land, in front of us was deep water. Since I was in the back of the landing boat, I had a lot of time to think about jumping into the water, more than the other soldiers who were standing in the front.
Cabo Wabo and Captiva Around five years, ago my extended family and I decided to go to Captiva Island together as a family trip during Thanksgiving. We stayed in a house called Cabo Wabo. Cabo Wabo is a big, bright yellow house.
The Keys never disappoints as the water was crystal clear and looked like a scene out of a movie. We spent the whole day fishing as a family and got to see many different fish of all shapes in sizes. An experience like that truly makes you appreciate the wildlife that roams this earth. The next memorable part of the trip involved us going snorkeling and checking out the reefs.
The wind blows in my face, and I can smell the fresh sea air. However, it is but little relief to the seasickness I am feeling on this crowded ferry with tons of other 7th graders. At least I am with friends. Kiersten, Holly, Jillian, Kayli, Kristen, Kailynn, and I are all going to the Catalina Island Marine Institute. It was a long drive to California, and now we’re on this boat.
I had always wanted to ride along the Santa Maria with Christopher Columbus. I finally got that chance with the time machine I had built in my basement that I called Billy 9000. My time had finally come. I set the coordinates to August 3, 1492. Then I stepped into the machine, and closed the glass door.
I felt the excitement jolting through me when my Mom told me she and I were going to Panama City Beach, Florida for a week. We had wanted to go the since school dismissed for summer break, but had no luck finding a place to stay. Three days before we were due to leave, my mom found a good price for a beachfront condominium for the week of June eleventh through June eighteenth. I had been to Panama City Beach before, but I always enjoy returning because it is always a good atmosphere and lots of fun to explore. On my vacation to Panama City Beach, Florida this summer, I enjoyed time with my mom, going swimming, and encountering people from all over the United States.
It was a hot and sunny day when I walked into the gym. When I saw about twenty players warming up for practice tonight. Then coach officially announce our position. My mind was questioning when I heard i was going to be a point guard this year. So I asked him after practice, he said: “I put you where you need to be and it will be really powerful against other teams this year.”
It was super sunny. You could barely see 10 feet in front of you. The grass all around looked so soft and bouncy, I just wanted to drop my purse and roll around on it. While we were there we got to spend a lot of time in the ocean. We were on a sub marine, which is a glass boat that goes deep under the water.
Shaping of the modern world has transpired through numerous changes since the 1800’s. These changes have had incredible importance in moulding today’s society for the better, a few key differences between 1500-1800 and today’s modern world, include on how food was produced and what was eaten in the 1800’s, what expectations befell women and men in their roles and where people of the 1800’s acquired their information and what they believed. It will provide a summary of Blainey’s (2000) work and outline the resultant, food production and diet, gender roles and finally beliefs and knowledge of the 1800’s. A comparison will parallel these features with today’s modern society with the 1800’s as well as highlighting several key variances of these
Growing up, I often found inspiration snorkeling in the Florida Keys. Each trip, I entered an ever-changing resilient ecosystem of vibrant, vivacious sea life. However, in recent years, nonnative lionfish have invaded the entire East Coast devastating our coral reefs. Because they have no natural predators in the Atlantic Ocean, lionfish have almost completely depleted our oceans of juvenile fish, creating a major food shortage for native fish. If no action is taken, the future of our coral reefs over the next 50 years looks alarmingly grim
Since I had been going to Virginia Wesleyan College I been exploring the Virginia Beach Ocean front and went to First Landing state park for the time. I been living Norfolk for 19 years so going somewhere new is pretty hard because I live 15 minutes from Virginia Wesleyan College. The Virginia Beach Ocean front is one the nicest place to visit around because there are some many things to explore and store to shop or dined at. Going to the beach is one my favorite place to visit because of the nice relaxing water that calm my mind while sitting in front water
The next morning, we head out for an omelet breakfast with bacon, and anything you could think of. After that, We get onto a boat and explore the beach. The tour guide takes us to a really fascinating group of seals. All being different sizes, I found them really cute and interesting to look at. In conclusion to my summer trip, I had the best time ever and I can't wait to go on another trip
We were waited on by the hotel staff, and able to swim and tan. Later, we walked to Venice Beach, which is a
