For the extra credit assignment, I decided to visit Cedar Key. I chose Cedar Key because it is the closest coastal town to Gainesville. During my visit to Cedar Key, I explored the charming city center. I also visited the state park which contained a museum and the Whitman home which allowed me to learn more about the history of Cedar Key.
The most beautiful thing I have seen is Hemlock Cliffs. I love going there in the summer and winter because it is always beautiful to go explore and find new caves, waterfalls, and paths. In the summer if you go there, there are many sites to see and adventure in! My dad and I are the only ones who usually go, so we don’t go in many caves, but when we do, they are amazing! Hemlock Cliffs has many paths to venture off in, so you want to stay with an adult the whole time.
At first, I followed the edge of our property line until I came to a little trail in the weeds that looked like it been made by a deer or another good-sized animal. It descended gently down the escarpment at first, but then I had to quicken my step as it became a little steeper, eventually taking me right down to the Genesee River. The river itself wasn’t as wide and as deep as I thought it would have been, and in spots it looked like you could cross without needing the aid of a bridge, the water perhaps coming up as high as my waist. An event that has influenced me greatly has definitely been the mission trips I partake in every summer. I've went on one each summer starting in 2015, in which i hope to continue this for many more years. Throughout the many trips I've taken, I have learned that everyone deserves the same amount of help and respect. You never know just how far the little acts you do can go for others. My first trip was to Virginia Beach, I first thought that it would be all fun and games.
When I Went To Florida I went to Florida after 4th grade in the summer. When we went to Florida, Jaxon my sisters, brother came with us. The night before we left he stayed at my house. When we left the next morning we left at 3:00 A.M. While we were on our way we both had to sit in the very back of the car because my sisters came with us. The ride there was not fun at all.
The reefs are scattered all over the Keys it’s just about finding a spot that you can enjoy. This was my favorite part of the trip as I was able to see beautiful reefs that many don’t get to experience. These reefs were full of bright colors and were home to very unique organisms. The sun was setting over the calm bay waters. We could hear the waves breaking on the shore and the bugs chirping. The smell of salt water filled the air. The temperature could not have been better. This is what we drove 13 hours for.
I’ve been going to a summer camp called Camp Silver Beach every summer science I was 9. This is about the time I went when I was 12. My camp is on the Eastern Shore, so we get to do all types of activites! One of the first things you do when you get to camp is meet your cabin members. I always get nervous for this because you are stuck with them for a week; so if you don’t get along that could be a problem.
My bags were completely packed for our upcoming trip to Charleston, South Carolina. I had been waiting for this seemingly perfect trip for the whole summer. When we arrived at our cabin, it was less than what we expected; much less. The private cottage was extremely outdated. When we first walked in, you could hear my mother shriek after she spotted a cockroach near the fireplace.
“My feet are cold! ,” I mumbled for second time trying to get my mom’s attention. The smell of a bonfire filled my nose as I sniffled, trying to fight the numb that came across my face. H is For Hawaii The first time I’ve been to Hawaii was two years ago in the summer and another time last summer, both on my birthday. They were my birthday present from my parents. The trip wasn’t long, but it seemed longer as I wanted to arrive to badly. Almost everyone’s dream vacation is Hawaii, and I can now relate to that.

My Trip to Florida It was a cold winter night in Upstate New York. My mom and dad were enjoying a cup of coffee, my sisters were playing video games, and I was editing a few pictures on my computer. My mom brought up the idea of a vacation. She said” We haven’t been on a vacation for a long time”.
