How I learned about Gravity It was a bright sunny, summer day. The birds were chirping and few cars were out being driven. No one was at the park. The playground looked brand new except the lion water fountain wasn’t working. A couple yards from the playground, a swing set stood swinging in the soft breeze. The grass was a bright green and the sky was cloudless. The air smelled fresh and wonderful. I could still taste the hamburger I had before we had left. I was four years old and my grandma was taking me to the park so I could play around for a bit. I was a short boy that was wearing a blue Incredible Hulk shirt with green shorts. I was skinny with thin arms and legs. I had climbed up onto the jungle gym pretending to be Superman. I had …show more content…
Then I would go to the swings and pretend to fly in the air by laying on my stomach while swinging. When I went back to the jungle gym, I got a new idea. I went to the to the top and walked over to the ladder. My grandma was coming to make sure I wouldn’t get hurt, but a slide was in her way. I then jumped. My face hit the grass right when she came to me. My gums in my mouth close to my teeth started bleeding and I started crying. We went back to her house, a dark, yellow and brown house with a nice yard and flowers along the porch. On the porch was an ash tray, two white rocking chairs, a swing, and a water fountain in the shape of a boy drinking water out of it. We went inside and washed out my mouth with water. She then told me not to do that again because I will fall because of gravity. “Gravity makes everything fall to keep everything down on Earth,” she told me. After my mouth was done bleeding and the ice pack I had was off I went to the playroom to play. I learned that I could not fly because of gravity. Only certain things could fly and that was because they were made that way. It’s just like the case with water, only certain things can float and the other things would sink. The only way I could fly was if I was in something that would help me fly. Gravity keeps everything down on Earth, so when something falls, it does not float in
