“Put yourself in someone else’s shoes” is a common advice, but someone else’s shoes might not fit that well. Not only does it place you in a physically uncomfortable spot but also a peculiar state of mind. That leaves you thinking, what has been holding me back. The majority of people in the world don't take steps that challenge their comfort zone. That's because these individuals find it easier to take paths that are known to them. They are more content knowing the steps which are going to be safe and secure. This type of individual is someone like me. As anyone else, everyone has a reasoning for what they choose to do and what they don't. One of the reasons that I am not risk taker is because of the little experience I had experienced. These little experience are not so little to me when it comes to taking risks. Here’s why I don't take risks. One time I did and almost got beaten up and almost getting hit by train. The risk I took almost put me in a dangerous situation that lead to a negative experience in my life. My perspective on taking risks is only take them if your ready to face the consequences. With every risk taking comes with a positive or negative aftermath. Taking risks is something that I prefer not to do since everytime I fo there is no beneficial outcome. If taking risks resulted in positive outcomes I would take them but in my personal experience my risks do not. Risk taking is not for everyone. Especially not for me. Taking a risk is definitely a challenge for me. It made me realise that thinking twice about a decision will be a better outcome for me.
