When Tennessee Williams said, “Security is a kind of death” he was implying that if you prevent yourself from having fun, there is no point in living. Being safe and sound all the time is like keeping you captive and not allowing you to have a fun-filled life. He’s not trying to say if you don’t take risks then you deserve to die. He is saying that you have a life that is meant to be spent wildly. And that you shouldn’t spend your life worrying about all the bad things that could happen.

So you should live your one and only life to the fullest and take risks in you life. It’s good to be safe and think about your safety, but you shouldn’t guard yourself from every little thing that might have a chance of hurting you. If you don’t get hurt, then you can’t learn and grow. So if you know you would love to try something, then go out and do it. Don’t sit around all day daydreaming about what the experience might be like. Go and find out for yourself what that activity would feel like. They might argue that some people aren’t adventurous and don’t like to be outside, so it’s fine if they choose not to jump off a bridge. Those who disagree might also say that there are shy and quiet people who don't want to jump out of their comfort zone. And we can’t push them to do so because we think everyone should take risks.
