Child Poverty is a Moral Issue Child poverty is a moral issue because the children living in poverty will one day be adults who have the potential to make a difference in the United States. Aside from the political view, no child deserves to suffer because their parents cannot afford to care for them. Children living in poverty did not ask to live the lives they are living and they have no control over their circumstances. It is the job of American citizens to take care of all the children living here because no one should suffer in such a rich land and children should definitely be protected and cared for. It is disheartening to know that so many children live in poverty and they cannot change it. Caring for the children of families living in poverty can potentially change their futures as adults. If they have more opportunities for success as a child then they will have a greater chance at success as an adult.

I do not have much experience with high-poverty neighborhoods, but I have an idea of what they are like. I think it is unfortunate that people who live in high-poverty neighborhoods have to endure unsanitary living environments. They also have to experience judgement that comes from people who see their homes or know about their living conditions. Some of the people living there did not have a chance at creating a better life and it is very unfortunate. It seems like the way they feel about their lives can be reflected on how their property looks and I am sure most people living in those neighborhoods cannot afford the upkeep that comes along with sustaining a
