Upon entering college determining your future career is imperative. It is a struggle trying to understand what career best suits me and my skills. I do not want to have a career where I am unhappy or uninterested in what I do. While reflecting on what career best suits me, I reflected on all of my skills that I could enhance. In high school, I tried to involve myself in different groups, organizations, and classes so I can get a feel for possible fields that I thought about pursuing. One of the organizations that really benefitted me and provided me with the foundation to strengthen myself as an individual was Associated Student Body, ASB, where I was the publicity director for two years. Through this experience, I grew a fondness for being part of a group that organizes programs and events for others as well as being able to spearhead the creation and design of advertising. ASB gave me the foundation to branch out and join other groups and organizations that gave me the opportunity to expand my leadership through my appointed board positions. My high school experience aided me into growing comfortable with public speaking and gaining a love for being a leader. I had an inkling for majoring in all sorts of fields, but I could not shake off the desire to continue creating advertisements. This desire led me to choose a major in Business with a concentration in marketing in hopes of having a future career in Marketing. There are an endless amount of career options that branch off from Marketing, which excites me as I would not feel constrained to a certain position and will allow me to explore my options. As of now, I am very interested in pursuing a career specifically in digital marketing. A lot of the careers that stem from digital marketing. Two that I am interested in pursuing social media marketing and being a public relations
