I decided to go into business because I feel like I have various skills and abilities that I can use towards my major. I never really understood the meaning of business in America because there are so many different branches when it comes to business. My first option was to study Marketing and Advertising because I felt like in all my years in high school I’ve been using similar techniques that you would use in marketing and advertising. I’ve held school dances and in the process of planning I had to convinces the students why it was a good idea to come to the dance, it also applied towards the fundraisers I would hold, I had to convince the people why they should donate or buy the product I was fundraising. I went during the summer to check out your campus and school for business only and I was really impressed with your program. Since I was little I knew that I wanted to go into business, but I never really thought about it until I got into high school and started getting more involved with business types of projects. In high school, I was in a program called JROTC. In JROTC I was promoted to a special job which was S-6, my duties and responsibilities in S-6 were to raise money for the program and for our annual Military Ball. I held various raffles and fundraisers and ended up reaching our goal. In S-6 I was also in charge of all special events and ceremonies, I was given an award of excellences for fulfilling all my duties with passion and success. On my 3rd year in S-6 I realized that I kept wanting to do things that I was already doing in S-6 , but as a job in the future and so I later on realized business was for me.
