Introduction: Mrs. Pennington has allowed me to explore my career using the College Foundation of North Carolina. Throughout this process, I've figured out that one career I'm interested in is being a marketing manager. I like the idea of being a marketing manager because my personality fits perfectly. I like negotiating and understanding other people's points and views. Negotiating plays a big part in being a marketing manager and is a good trait to have for this career. I think I'm most interested in being a marketing manager because it suits my open personality and seems like a fun career to pursue. Marketing management focuses on generating interest in products or services. They work with art directors, advertising sales agents, and financial staff members. Marketing managers also devote a lot of their time to budgeting and negotiating advertising contracts. Highschool: High school plays a big role in preparing for college careers. There are a lot of high school classes that will help me reach my goals as a marketing manager. Classes that I can take would be marketing. Marketing will give me a general idea of the career I want to pursue as I get older. Another class I can take is Business.
