The TypeFocus assignment allowed me to see what occupations would or should interest me, and the funny thing about it is; it 's really close to my actual occupation. At this time I am 40 years old and back in school. Graduating from College will help me further my career, and will open opportunities for advancement, within the company I currently work for. My current position is in an office setting, working with billing, arranging fuel transportation, and leading coworkers throughout our office with their daily task, and also training new employees. I am perusing a degree in Business Management which will support my role in training and leading.
For my career, I chose statistician. It can get a bit complicated to do, but I am up for a challenge. I feel it will good to have a challenge for work. The career the most interests me is Dental Hygiene. After high school, I plan to attend a two year college studying Dental Hygiene. This career interests me the most because I work well with people and it does not require much schooling. I feel as if I would do very well as a Dental Hygienist because they have selective hours. Another reason this career interest me is that you can work up to make pretty good money for little hours that you would be working.
I love the innovation and creativity you have to bring to be involved in business. I enjoy the interpersonal communication and relationships and just connecting with people overall that is involved with business. By majoring in business I could help the mulitiple Burmese business not just locally or
Hi Troy, I am glad you are almost finish with your degree. When I first entered college over 20 years ago I was planning on being a psychology major. But after seeing my English college class seeing how much it took for me to write an essay. I ran to a degree that incorporated my love for math and business. I chose to do Accounting.
As children, we are always asked what we want to do when we become adults. We really have no idea how hard it will be to make that choice. People in general are drawn to careers that seem cool, fun, or make a lot of money. However, in reality things are not always what they seem to be. Alexandra Levit gives details on a variety of topics to guide people through the business world in They Don’t Teach Corporate in College.
Maya Angelou once stated, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style” (Angelou). Being passionate and thriving in a career is essential for me to stay motivated and to be able to enjoy my time at work. Throughout my life I have always really liked science and math, and I enjoy the ocean. I have also been very passionate about animals and I would love to help them and protect their habitats. Becoming a veterinarian or marine biologist would allow me to be satisfied going to work each day because they both incorporate my interests.
I would really like to study sociology as I love the idea of finding out about society, social relationships, social interaction, and culture. Due to my passion for business and art, I would like to have a career based on marketing in the future because I want to learn more about different companies and how they work compared to competitors. I enjoy all aspects of Art and design; however, I do enjoy creating my work. I
I have always talked about my different perspectives and thoughts on college. Both of my parents have not been to college and I want to show them that it is possible and achievable to get the degrees that you desire. Any goals that you make for yourself can be achieved if you set your heart to it. I love to set goals for myself, it makes me push myself harder and go above and beyond. The goals that I hope to accomplish in the next six months is completing a season of water polo, be an officer of the FCA club, be on the swim team, and grow further on my praise and worship team at my church.
I want to go into the field of business and management in the future, I do not know what specifically I would like to do in that field but with being in DECA and in MIS at Pottstown High School I know I am completely interested in that field of work. I enjoy being actively involved in clubs like DECA and NHS because I compete with others to be the best academically. I know I can take on this opportunity and get my college credits done early.
We must acknowledge that there will be times where we lose our position, only to realize where we stand. Growing up life seemed hard, but now I realized how amazing it was; I had a family who loved me and I was never seen different (discriminated), I was always told I had four very impart jobs: have respect for people even if I didn’t like them, do good in school, always ask questions and never forget where I came from, little did I know I realized where I came from after I left. When I came to the United States of America, New York became a dream, but we must all wake up and stop dreaming; I did after my mother past away a year after I’ve arrived. The world became gray, for I was very downhearted and life felt like death because of all the
For my major, I am interested in marketing or a business degree on an international level. Acquiring this degree as my major, I am opening up the possibilities of other career choices if I decide that another subject will help me reach my goal of being connected with the outside
I do not know for certain what my future holds, so it’s important that I broaden my horizons, especially when it comes to skills that could be used for a career. I have no idea, as of right now, what I want to do when I’m older. So it’s important now more than ever that I expand my interests on as many different things as I can, so when it truly becomes time for me to pick a career plan, I won’t be narrowed down to a single topic. There are many individuals who out all their time in effort into one thing, like sports or acting, and then when that certain plan doesn’t work out, they have nothing else to fall back on. This is why I think it’s important to really reach out and learn a little bit of everything, so you have many different things to pick and
Within every subject at school, reading, writing, and chemistry posed a big challenge for me during my high school years. I excel in most subjects, but these three were the hardest to get. The key solution to my problem was to put my mind to it and do very best that I can. This wasn’t easy and I couldn’t do it by myself, there were several factors that allowed me to overcome the difficulties and excel in all subjects. At the reading I was horrible, I couldn’t understand anything I read “What’s the purpose behind reading?”
Choosing a college major is one of the most important decisions in a person’s life. The effect choosing a college major has on one’s life is much like a small ripple in the middle of a vast ocean. In the students senior year it is a simple seemingly inconsequential click of a button on an online application. But by the time this once meek ripple reaches the shore of the students’ life it has already transformed into a great tidal wave that has influenced their life every step of the way.
