I would like to participate in the Young Innovators Program at UNC because it would open up a variety of doors and opportunities for me to take on in the future. I personally would like to pursue a STEM career in the future and by participating in this program, I can gain exposure in science careers (specifically pharmaceutical science). I’ve never explored the career in pharmaceutical sciences and don’t know a lot of information about it. By partaking in this internship, I can gain exposure to this career area and learn more about careers in pharmacy and pharmaceutical companies. I’ve always wanted to get my hands on to new technology that normally isn’t available to the public and with it have the ability to see the future of pharmacy. I have a good character and am a good team member. I also have a good worth ethic and tend to finish my work, even if it takes a lot of time. I have good leadership skills and can lead in many areas. However, I think that all of these skills could use improvement and one way to do that is to participate in this program. Doing this could become a major step and decision factor in deciding what I want to do in the future and help me advance my academic and professional careers. I also believe that I am fully qualified both mentally and physically to participate in this program.
