I have been looking forward to attend college for as long as I can remember. To me, college seemed like the start of true adulthood and real life. So naturally, I have been excited about college for a very long time. I am most excited about being able to develop myself fully. I am attending Milwaukee School of Engineering next fall. This was my choice to go there. Every other choice in my life has been assisted by my parents or someone superior to me. I am finally able to start making decisions for myself therefore making it possible to develop myself as a person greatly. I have my parents to thank for this. They raised me to have very high regard and respect for people no matter who they are. A good example of this is in my school. I treat the janitor the same way I treat the principal. By doing this, I have been able to get on a first name basis with the janitor and have found out about how truly smart and interesting he is. While most people who see him everyday will never see this side of him. Respect, to me, has always been the most important quality in any person. The respect I have for others is something I take pride in. In addition to respect, I am a very responsible person. In high school, I have never turned anything in late. At my job, I have never showed up late or missed a shift. My responsibility I think has helped me become a smarter and more intellectual person. By always doing my homework and every assignment, I have been able to gain more knowledge to become a better student. Lastly, my leadership skills are one of my best qualities. Because I am a good leader, I have been named team captain many times and have held many leadership roles in clubs like Deca. These qualities are what makes me successful today, and are what is going to make me successful in the
