Personal Statement

Why it is important for me to study environmental science? Environmental science is studies about the interactions of the physical, chemical, and biological components of the environment, including their effects on all types of organisms. Moreover, it mostly refers to impact of human activities on environment. Also, it is very important that we know what is going on all around us. Therefore, before I took an environmental science class I did not know much about effect of human activities impact on our environment. After I took an environment science class, I learned a lot of new things that impact on my daily such as I learned about water pollution, air pollution, and plastic waste. First of all, I learned about water pollution.

Since, I learned air pollution lesson in class, now I know 49% of air pollution comes from vehicle 28% form factories and power plants and the remaining pollution form a variety of other sources. Also, vehicle emissions are huge case of air pollution that impact on human health such as lung disease, increased rate if asthma, emphysema, heath disease, lung cancer and other disease. Also, before I took environmental class I did not know how much about air pollution impact on human health, until I took this class. Therefore, now in my daily activities I try to reduce amount of carbon dioxide from atmosphere such as not diving if not necessity, a short trips walk or ride bike instead of using car, car poor, and ride on bus. However, I know that is not big help to reduce amount carbon dioxide, but at least I did something better than I do not. Finally, I will tell my family and my friends about seriously of air pollution impact on human health. Also, they can get involve to reduce amount of air pollution in our

Plastics wastes are huge problem for our environment right now. I know a lot people think use plastic is making life more easily. However, they do not know about harmful of plastic on environment. Plastics are very long-lived products that could survive over hundred years. Moreover, plastic waste impact on marine life because when we threw plastic into ocean the fish will eat plastic then they will die. In past, I always threw my water bottom into garbage because I did not know about harmful of plastic on environment. However, now I change my bad habit, until I took an environment science class. For example, I use a reusable stainless steel instead of use water bottom for my drinking water. In addition, I recycle all my plastic such as water bottom, plastic bag, and cup make from plastic into a recycle places. Finally, plastic is huge problem for our environment, but we can make it different if are working
