Everyone has a talent or characteristic that defines who they are. There are many interests and hobbies that make up a person’s life. My life revolves around being with my family, learning more about music, and being dedicated to anything I set my mind to to. These characteristics have shaped me into who I am today. Hard work is imperative to life. Ever since I was little my parents always reminded me that in order to have success I must learn to work hard. They always tell me that it is better to do one thing well, than many things not well done. I have always put my studies above everything and I have worked hard to get to where I am now. In my opinion hard work is key to success in the sense that it has made me a more intelligent and well-rounded person. I was part of my schools band program for six years. Being in band not only helped me develop my talent as a musician, but I also developed the skill to lead. In the beginning of marching season, my senior year of high school, I got chosen to be the saxophone section leader which gave me an insight to what it is to be a leader. Ever since being chosen to the position I felt a greater sense of responsibility and motivation to portray my best in everything I did and taught. Overall this led me to become an effective leader and talented musician which was demonstrated through our results.
