It is vital for me to get my school counseling degree with a pupil personnel services credential to be able to help students on their paths. I have a strong desire to be a school counselor in making other people’s lives better and easier by helping them realize their weaknesses and strengths and help them achieve their academic goals and social/emotional development. I will use my chosen career to advocate about the negative stigma counseling has and change the way underrepresented minorities see counseling.
