Lucas Till said, “My uncle is a mechanic, and I wish I had paid more attention, but I never did” (Brainy Quotes). This quote really helps a lot because I am interested in becoming a mechanic and my dad knows a lot about that kind of work. My father is a rancher who is always having to fix something. Like for instance he had to fix the ranches ranger last week. The ranch also is always fixing the combines during harvest. So now that I want to become a mechanic I need to learn as much as possible so I have some knowledge before I fully enter this field of an auto mechanic. In order to understand what a auto mechanic does, it is important to look at the job description, the salary and requirements and the education needed. A service tech needs to perform many routine maintenances. Nominal maintenance includes oil changes and tune-ups. Which changing the oil really is not that hard of a job if a person knows what they are doing. Most technicians work a standard 40-hour weeks(“Automotive” 50). On most days the techs will work 8 to 10 hours a day. Which working 8 to 10 hours a day is normal for most jobs. For a personal preference I would like to see this present a little bit higher. The number of jobs in 2016 was 729,900(“Automotive” 1). It seems like there are a lot of jobs in 2016, but there could be a lot more jobs for this line of work. Employment change for the next 10 years is 45,900(“Automotive” 1). For me this sound like a really good number, but I do not know if the statistic is good or not. Not only men are in this field, the number of women working is on the rise. My goals for this job is to maybe someday got to college and study how to work on vehicles. Maybe someday be able to be an automotive service tech someday on my
