Personal Background
I became a Christian at the age of six at my old church, New Life Fellowship. It was after my teacher taught the story of Jesus healing the leper. She asked if anyone wanted to give their life to Christ and I went up. Just a few weeks later I got baptized. And from then on I lived my life as a believer in Christ seeking Him and growing in my relationship with Him.

My current relationship with God is one of friendship and obedience. I talk to Him daily through His word and prayer. My current struggle and area where I need the most growth is my trust in Him with my future. With college decisions and future career choices constantly on my mind, I seek to keep God and His plan as the main focus of my heart and mind. I am Constantly reminding myself that His ways are greater than mine. One way that I am growing in this is by taking the class Perspectives. It is here that I am learning that my ultimate goal is to glorify the Lord and to do that I am called to reach the nations, not just through short term mission trips, but with my everyday life. My love for Him and relationship with Him calls me to reach the nations and live my life for Christ starting with my family and friends who don’t know God, showing the love of Christ no matter where He leads me. …show more content…

God commands us to go. I want to go on this mission trip because I want to experience the life and work that missionaries are doing with other nations. I want to grow relationships with the team that I will join and the people I will meet there. Through this mission trip I hope to gain experience and knowledge that will further prepare me to go wherever God leads me in the future and to further His mission in reaching the
