As a result of my Secondary Education I have developed a deep interest in History and science. The areas of Anthropology and Archaeology have recently caught my attention. A degree in Anthropology and Archaeology will enable me to incorporate my fascination of history and science together, and the course itself will allow me to apply the skills I have gained through my education and work such as analytical and leadership skills. A degree like this, that combines a mass of disciplines, would allow me to widen my knowledge about cultures and societies from the past to the present. Attending University has been a goal of mine for the past few years, as I wish to expand my current knowledge in hope to proceed into a relevant career in field work and research. Studying History, Biology, Maths and Chemistry at A level has allowed me to be able to look at different situations from many angles. These subjects, Biology and History in particular, have let me study humankind from the past and present. During Chemistry and Biology I have gained many practical and health and safety skills which would aid me during the practical side of archaeology. I enjoy facing new challenges as it enables me to develop my knowledge, which is why I take part in STEM activities at my college. As well as this I attended a STEM day at Cardiff University, from this I learned about the wide choice of courses available at University and how science is involved in everyday life. In college I am a Class Representative for two of my subjects, for which I was chosen by my peers. I have held meetings with students and teachers in order to get feedback on the course, this shows signs of good communication skills which I have developed greatly. I have been
