As I strive to achieve great academic success and leadership at Montana State University, I hope that my previous experiences will catalyze this process. Using my interests in academics, participation in extracurricular activities, and my own strengths, I hope to become a strong leader. I know I can achieve being both a scholar and an example for other students by utilizing my previous experiences. When I start my journey at Montana State, I expect to find students with common academic interests as myself. My goal is to connect with these students, who appreciate education in a similar way I do, in order to help each other understand topics or lessons that we will learn.
When I was selected to play in the 2015 All-State honor band, my dream transpired. Since the seventh grade I have participated in jazz band along with concert band; I now play in my high school 's most selective jazz band. In all of my Highschool career, I have developed numerous skills whether it be from being head of groups, able to speak in big crowds, and making sure that everyone understood their positions. Starting eighth grade, I had begun my journey by being a part of the Junior National Honor Society and becoming our classes representative, or as others say “Junior High valedictorian”. At this point in my life, I was able to realize that I demonstrated all the characteristics that a leader needed, and I was viewed to students and teachers as a mentor. After I had been promoted to High School, I was ambitious and challenged myself to be a part of Louder Than A Bomb poetry group. Freshman year was the Louder Than A Bombs first year at our High School which caused that year to be the group's building block.

Aside from studying diligently, I also participate in extracurricular activities. Before joining Frontier, I used to do traditional dance in my home country since I was 6 years old. The experience I gained from the years of dancing allowed me to choreograph a dance routine for school when I was 13 years old . This opportunity allowed me to refine my leadership and organizational skills. I took upon the challenge and I was able to come up with a creative story through music and movement.
I had run for the position, believing I would do what was best for my class. In the beginning, I was excited having conjured a plethora of ideas, ready to enact and perform them all. The very first meeting I walked in chest puffed out and a smile on my face. The class sponsor started the meeting, asking if any of us had any ideas. Open Season had begun!
Without the slightest doubt in my mind, making Alabama’s all-state honor band is my proudest achievement. Of all the prideful moments in my life, earning a spot in all-state shines brightest of all; it took more effort and dedication than any other challenge I have ever faced. However, as physically and mentally draining as all-state was, one week later I wanted to do it all over again; this taught me a few things, namely that I especially love music, have an extremely competitive drive, and am willing and capable to accomplish any goal I set for myself. I feel that the Musical theater program is the best selection for me. For my whole life I have always done and loved doing art in the form of painting, drawing, dancing, singing, music, fashion, and creating and have always been lacking in acting. This is all because of my anxiety of people staring at me and feeling vulnerable while I am acting. Yes I have been the lead in a couple plays and musicals and have had solos in dance and singing but I did those because I was told to.

Throughout my high school career, I was forced into many situations where I was challenged to connect with my peers and serve as a role model for future students. Whether it be my involvement in the school marching band, or helping students in community tutoring sessions, I have always made it my goal to better the people around me through my own efforts. Throughout my high school career, I have put forth my best effort to connect with my peers, transform individuals, and make a difference in my community. Joining the school marching band at the beginning of my freshman year of high school was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Cabaret continually taught me to me to work as part of a team, as the show can only be as strong as its weakest member. The show dates were incredibly rewarding, hearing how people loved the show and complemented our performance
Relevant to this role are my experiences as President of the UCL Electronic Music Society. I joined the society because of my passion for music and DJing. However, developing this has allowed my relationship-management skills, leadership and business acumen to advance. I encouraged the committee to set and exceed targets for recruitment of new members during freshers’ week, gaining 400 additions to the mailing list. When in charge of events, I have collaborated and negotiated with a number of promoters to secure the use of high-profile venues such as XOYO and Ministry of Sound.
From contesting for this position to getting elected and working for betterment of my house group, I gained a lot of experience and self-confidence and became more responsible. Being a vice captain, I played an important role in addressing and motivating students, advising and helping them, and earning points for my group by participating in many competitions alone or in a team. I also served as the student voice of the school to a variety of external and internal constituents. The student council served as a bridge between the students and the school heads and administration.
