As humans, people overcome various obstacles and hurdles when walking towards the path of success. Personally, there were many situations which resulted as I continued my arduous work as a student to fulfill a goal of helping my parents. Although my intentions were in the benefit for my parents who sacrificed much for me, the path towards graduation began extremely rough. At my preparatory school where I began my freshman year, the aggressive environment in both academically and socially faltered my ego to potentially do more than I believed I was capable of achieving. Although my efforts academically were exceptional, I distanced myself from friends and family where I created a pleasant facade when I met them. Along with this, I became socially deprived as I was never able to converse with others about my feelings; this chronic intake became cumbersome which led to becoming reclusive. Unfortunately, I was treated differently by others as few upperclassmen would continuously bully me both verbally and physically. These adverse emotions continued to give me a different connotation of who I was as a person, and I continued to demoralize myself as time progressed. Eventually, I decided to take action the next semester where I consulted with a counselor about the types of problems that resulted. I was able to overcome this problem as I took into consideration the advice given to me by the counselor which consisted of disregarding negative remarks made by others and talking with my friends in school. There, his income depends on tips as few customers acknowledge the significance of tips. Although the family was barely able to manage these years, spontaneous tasks appears and continue to hinder the amount of income the family has. Due to my grandmother's decrepit state, time and money are spent on her well-being. Also, my mother has constant appointments due to her health which ends with my father with barely enough energy to work two jobs, which he did for the past twenty years. With my older brother who began college this year, my father has to support him with funds for his dorm; therefore, this leaves the income low for the rest of the family.
