Growing up, my parents always pushed me to strive for the best. Pushed me to put my diligent work in challenges in order to see results. For that, I will perpetually be grateful, as it availed me discover who I am as a person today.
My passion for pharmacy commenced when I was fortuitous enough to get an internship at a local pharmacy/medical institute. I remember the exact day when I made up my mind that this is the kind of work I want to do for the rest of my life. The day when one of my mentors convinced a young woman to put a stop to her laxative abuse because of the serious health issues it would have on her life. On top of all, my internship was an important priority for me. Being able to balance this hectic schedule was a challenge. A challenge that I was dedicated to overcome once I learned that this is what I was meant to do with my life. By interning in that work atmosphere, not only did it provide me with important skills but gave me the opportunity to learn more about myself. Throughout this internship, I opened a part of myself I never knew existed… In order to be successful at doing the job, you need excellent communication skills. Being extremely shy growing up, and spending so much time in this work atmosphere where you have to interact with people constantly, I developed those skills very quickly. It helped me step out of my bubble, which I never thought I could do. This being my biggest insecurity growing up, I never thought that I could change. Im proud to say that I have gained a great amount of confidence by stepping out of my comfort zone. I have also proved to myself that I am not afraid to take on a challenge. When I want to accomplish something, I will put my hardest work and a great amount of dedication into it. There is still a lot for me to learn, but currently, I am still working on improving my skills and getting as much work experience as I can before heading to college to officially begin my journey of earning my
