I believe that my skills and interest matches well with an accounting major. Being detail oriented, analytical, and organized are all characteristics that accountants should have and be interested in. The top three positions that I am considering are audit, tax accounting, and forensic accounting. Not only are these positions popular career paths for accounting graduates, they also align with my skills and interests. Audit involves a third party examination of books and accounts in which attention to details are essential. Tax accounting involves accounting for the purposes of income taxes in which quantitative and analytical skills are essential. Forensic accounting involves actual or anticipated disputes or litigation in which research and adaptation to constant changes are essential.
